We host tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, commercial exhibitors, and more. Entering its fourth year, the provides an opportunity to highlight the great creators and creations of the Crescent City, from high-tech drones to handcrafted costumes. Bricolage Academy, along with fellow community members, believes that everyone is a maker and values learning from the knowledge and experiences of others. By hosting a Maker Faire, we give future innovators a chance to learn from makers and projects as they begin their own innovative journeys. As this event grows, our mission is to continue to seek out and showcase the culture of art, design, and DIY that has made New Orleans one of America s most unique cities. We have created a school unlike any other in the city one focused equally on academic excellence, educational equity, student diversity and innovation. We define innovation as creative problem solving, and we embed that tenet throughout our curriculum. Two times per week, our diverse student body participates in an innovation class, where they explore their individual intelligences and learn through collaboration, experience, and making.
