I. General information Lincoln is not a heating device, but modern decorative device that uses the beauty of a real flame. Due to the innovative technology operation of Lincoln is simple and safe. II. Fuel To ensure the safety of the device it has to be refilled with recommended FANOLA liquid or other in accordance with European Union directive N.162/2013 for 86-96,6% ethanol with contaminators regarding density, viscosity and electrical conductivity. These properties must be identical to the properties of recommended FANOLA liquid. For more information please contact the manufacturer. Use of any other fuel is strictly forbidden, as it may lead to improper operation of the device, damages and hazard to health and safety of its operators. Manufacturer will not accept any responsibility in case of using any other fuel than recommended (i.e dehydrator and/or super purified ethanol with more than 96,6% ethanol volume) or any other which doesn t meet above mentioned properties. III.! Safety As Lincoln produce a real open fire it is necessary to follow the below specified rules in order to enable the product to be used in a technically correct and safe manner as well as to maintain the warranty. When installing the device according to the instructions, you must comply with national and local regulations. It is required to read the installation instructions in order not to use the device in an improper manner or in rooms with smaller cubic capacity than required. Products should not be exposed to atmospheric conditions. It s the product for internal use only. When turned on, the device produce steam, carbon dioxide and heat, therefore it s necessary to provide adequate ventilation so that the total replacement of the air in the room is min. 1 / h. Do not use the device in the temperature lower than 10 C and higher than 30 C. Do not install the device in areas of large drafts of air, near fans, vents, etc. Do not install the device on escape routes and in places where there may be potentially explosive atmospheres. The device as well as the fuel should be kept out of reach of children, pets and unauthorized persons. It is forbidden to consume the fuel. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. It is required to take precautions when dealing with flammable materials, for example in direct contact with object, or in area within 1 m / 3.28 ft. around the device no flammable objects should be placed. Do not place near the curtains, blinds, etc. Do not place on the grid any elements not provided by the producer. It is necessary to place dry-powder or carbon dioxide extinguisher near the device. The device should be installed only on flat, level and firm surface. Positioning the device on a sloping ground may cause malfunction, damage to the device or fire. It is forbidden to use other fuel than recommended fuel FANOLA or the fuel recommended in section II Supplies and consumables. Do not heat the fuel before the heating process of the device is started. Do not start the device in case of spillage of fuel out of the tank. Never pour fuel directly into the flame tray as this may cause damage to the device and result in fire. Such an attempt may cause violent ignition, result in fire, burns, and can even be life threatening. Do not cover the device while it is switched on. Do not operate near the fuel filler while the device is switched on. Do not operate with the components contained within the flame tray under the threat of burns or damage to the device. Do not move the device while it is switched on. The device can be moved only after the complete combustion of the fuel, when it is disconnected from power supply and when all its elements are cooled. The device should not be left without adult supervision while it is switched on. The device should be kept out of reach of untrained users. The device must be switched on and used as per description in point IV in instructions. While switching on the device, the odor of fuel may be perceptible. The device is not suitable for continuous operation. If the device suddenly turns off, proceed in accordance with the instruction. CAUTION! Glowing coil is heated to a temperature of 1300 C. Touching, when the device is switched on may cause burns. While working the flame tray is heated to high temperatures. Do not touch the flame tray or hot parts located in close area under the risk of burn injury. The first startup of the device can be made only after proper installation of the device and reading the manual. If the device requires transport it is required to burn all fuel remains and move it in a horizontal position, avoid tilting it. As the unburned fuel remains in the combustion chamber, during the transfer sensors could be activated. In this case, the device could be used again only after it has dried completely.! IV. Operation This manual contains all the information necessary for the proper operation of the Lincoln. It is obligatory to read and keep this instruction manual. Operation of the device is permitted only after the device is properly installed according to the instructions and the manual. A. B. Initial start-up of the device 1. Immediately after you connect the device to the main power, green LED will light up on the control panel. After about 3 minutes the green LED turns off and the blue LED turns on. 2. On the control panel the blue light flashes it indicates the lack of fuel in the tank. Please refuel. 3. Press I on the green button. Flashing diode on the control panel indicates that the device is ready to be refueling. 4. Refueling. Automatic pump is used to refuel the fireplace. 4.1. Hold a rigid tube with a metal fuel connector and press the metal plate under it (marked with a red circle). Metal connector snaps off. A small amount of fuel can be located in the hose-be careful. 4.2. Place the stiff tube in the external fuel container from which the fuel will be pumped out into the Lincoln s fuel tank. 4.3. To start the automatic pump squeeze the rubber manual pump several times until you will hear the buzzing noise. Automatic fuel pump will start working once the fuel reaches the sensor inside the black box. Pump will cease the refuelling process once: a) Lincoln s fuel tank will be full. LED diode will start to blink and you will hear the intermediate sound. b) the external fuel container will be empty. In this case you can switch the stiff tube to another full container and start again from point B.4.2. or finish the refuelling (please forward to point B.4.4.). 4.4. Connect metal connector of the rigid tube to the matching socket in the cabinet. 4.5. Press "O" on the green button. The LED lights on Lincoln will indicate: Lincoln is ready to use, fuel level is too low. Please refuel starting from point B.3. 5. Starting the device. The green indicator flashes on the control panel. Warning! Make sure that the automatic pump is correctly placed into the cabinet (the metal connector of the rigid tube must be connected to the matching socket in the cabinet of the body). 5.1. Press the START/STOP button on the control panel and hold it until you hear the sound signal. 5.2. The green indicator will blink to indicate start-up of the device, it takes a few moments for the appliance to ignite the flame. 5.3. While the appliance is in work mode, the green indicator goes off and the flame starts to appear. The device works automatically until they run out of fuel or disable the device by the user. C. Flame size regulation The Lincoln can operate in two modes: Normal and ECO. The device always starts with a standard flame size. The device has the adjustable flame size during operation. In order to reduce the height of the flame, press the ECO button on the control panel or the remote control. You will hear two beeps and the ECO button will be highlighted. The unit is now operating in ECO mode. To return to the normal height of the flame, press the ECO button, you will hear one beep and the ECO button backlight turns off. The device is now in normal mode. ATTENTION! It might take a few moments for the flame to adjust. ATTENTION! The device switches to ECO mode by itself when there is a danger of over-temperature of the device. D. Device extinguishing Press the START/STOP button on the control panel or on the remote control. You will hear two beeps and the red indicator will start to blink. The blinking red indicator means that the device is too hot to be restarted. When the device cools the message will disappear, and depending on the amount of the fuel in the tank, either the green indicator will flash and indicate the readiness for operation or the blue indicator will indicate the lack of the fuel. E. Subsequent start up If on the control panel flashes the blue indicator, start to run the product from the point B.3. If on the control panel flashes the green indicator, you can: start to run the product from the point B.5. Press "I" on the green button: - the blue indicator blinks and a beep sounds intermittently - the tank is full and it is not allowed to pour any more fuel! Press "O" on the green button, following point B.5. - the blue indicators blinks - you can refuel (see section B.4) and turn on the device (see section B.5) or press "O" on the green button and start up the device following B.5. F. Information and warning alert In order to increase safety, the Lincoln is equipped with an electronic system to keep the operation safe. In the case of a dangerous situation, the device immediately triggers alarms. If you see a fire - the device is in operation. Make sure the device is properly connected to the power supply. Do not leave the device unattended by an adult. 2 The device is ready for operation. You can run the device in accordance with section B.5 3 No fuel in the tank Fill up the fuel starting from the point B.3. Initial start-up of the device 4 Wait for the appearance of fire, the light goes off. 5 Works protected against too rapid restart of the hot device or the allowable temperature has been exceeded Allow the device to cool down. After cooling the device, the red indicator will turn off and the green indicator will start to flash. 6 The device automatically turns off due to lack of fuel in the tank. Allow the device to cool down. After cooling the device, the red indicator will turn off and the blue indicator will start to flash. 7 8 9 The device is ready for refuelling. The fuel tank is full (with intermediate sound). There was a fuel spill or the acceptable device operation temperature has been exceeded. 10 Operation error 11 12 The device temperature below 10 C or critical operation error Green refilling button failure or green refilling button switched to I beside refuelling procedure Fill the fuel in accordance with B.4 paragraph. ("I" on the green button is on) The tank is full and you should not pour more fuel! You must put the automatic pump to the Cabinet on the right side of the body in accordance with point B. 4. 4. Then press "O" on the green button. Blue LED turns off and the green LED turns on. If refueling process is in progress it will cease automatically. Press the START / STOP button on the control panel or on the remote control to turn off the sound. Please make sure, that the fuel hose is connected properly. Remove visible moisture. If the spillage is excessive the source of power needs to be disconnected Wait at least 1 hour to evaporate the remaining moisture. Hold the ECO button for about 5 seconds. If the alarm message reappears, wait a little bit. If the message reappears, contact your service provider. If the alarm message appears during the start of the device, press the START / STOP button to turn off the sound and hold the ECO button for about 5 seconds. If the message reappears, contact your service provider. Press the START / STOP button to turn off the sound and hold the ECO button for about 5 seconds. If the message reappears, contact your service provider. Press the START / STOP button to turn off the sound. Provide higher ambient temperature. Wait until the device obtains the indoor temperature. Hold down the ECO button for about 5 seconds. If the message reappears, contact your service provider. Press the START / STOP button to turn off the sound. Press O on the green button. V. Cleaning and maintenance Switch off the device before cleaning. Wait until the temperature of the device gets close to the ambient temperature. To maintain appropriate technical condition of the device, please observe the following rules: Lacquer coating the furnace is not resistant to abrasion. It is not recommended to wipe the surface. Clean the furnace with a soft cloth and water to avoid causing cracks and scratches When purchasing and dozing cleaners, be sure to protect the environment and comply with the recommendations of manufacturers. It is forbidden to clean the inside of the device by unauthorized persons. The manufacturer does not foresee a situation where it will be necessary to clean elements not normally available. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from: improper operation (non-manual) self-dismantling attempts to modify using other liquids than those recommended in point II. Fuel. VI. Disposal and recycling The product is equipped with parts made of aluminium, steel, plastics and electronics. If you need to dispose of the device, follow the terms of disposal and recycling in force in your country. Moreover, dispose of the empty Fanola containers should be dumped to plastic waste baskets. Most of the materials used in Planika appliances can be recycled. FANOLA fuel recommended for this product has received following certifications: VII.
