2 1. General Informaion The RKB1 wireless keypad wih LED indicaion (hereinafer referred o as he keypad) is designed for conrolling Rim radio channel conrol panels. The keypad allows arming and disarming securiy for sysem areas using user codes, changing user codes, monioring zones and areas of he securiy sysem, demonsraing he saus of areas and zones, and ransmiing alarm signals for emergency service unis. The keypad may be powered from eiher a 12 VDC power source, or an AA 3.6 V baery, and he baery may also be used as a redundan power source when 12 V volage is used. Geing Ready for Operaion 7.1. The keypad should be insalled on a verical surface, and no in he viciniy of EMI sources, large meal objecs and srucures, power cable runs. 7.2. Loosen he reaining screw and open he enclosure cover. 7.3. Observing he polariy, insall he AA 3.6 V baery ino he holders XP3 and XP4. 7.4. If necessary, run 12 VDC power cables hrough he enclosure base opening. 7.5. Connec he power circui o he XT3 connecor (power source posiive erminal o +12V erminal, negaive erminal o GND erminal). 7.6. Swich he conrol panel o he radio keypad addiion mode.
7.7. Press and hold he key 1 on he keypad unil he indicaors Fire and 1 ligh up in he Zones field. Press and hold he Cancel key unil all keypad indicaors go off, which would mean swiching o he sandby mode. 7.9. Direcly prior o insallaion a he supposed insallaion locaion of he keypad, verify is connecion o he panel. To do his, swich he keypad o he radio channel es mode. 7.10. Press and hold he key 3 unil he indicaors Service and 3 ligh up in he Zones field. The esing procedure is illusraed in he Figure below. 2 3 missed responses are OK for 10 ransmied messages. Secure he enclosure base on he surface. If he amper should be riggered in case a keypad is orn off from he surface, fasen he plaform, on which he amper suppor is locaed, using a self-apping screw. 7.13. Insall he enclosure cover wih he board o he enclosure base. Please noe ha he SA1 amper spring ress on he amper suppor. 7.14. Close he cover firmly and fasen he reaining screw.
8. Keypad Operaion Codes for arming and disarming areas are se up during configuraion of a conrol panel, o which he keypad is mapped. Pressing he Cancel key acivaes he keypad visual indicaion showing he saus of sysem areas. 6 9. Replacing Baery If necessary, clean he bonding pads and replace he baery. 10. Transporaion and Sorage The device should be ranspored in packaging in closed vehicles. Sorage premises should be free of curren-conducing dus, acid and alkaline fumes, corrosive gases and gases harmful o insulaion. 11. Mainenance and Safey Measures All se-up and mainenance aciviies applied o he device should be performed by duly qualified personnel. 12. Manufacurer s Warranies The manufacurer guaranees ha he device complies o requiremens of he echnical specificaions, provided he clien ensures compliances o condiions of ransporaion, sorage, insallaion and operaion. Alhough he warrany period is 12 monhs from he commissioning dae, i may no exceed 18 monhs from he producion dae. The warrany sorage period is 6 monhs from he producion dae. The warrany does no cover he baery. The manufacurer reserves he righ for modificaion of he device in any way ha does no degrade is funcional characerisics wihou prior noice. 13.
