The structure of the whistle is similar to a harmonica. When the water boils will produce a large amount of water vapor. The action of steam passing through the device causes vibration, in turn creating the sound, known in physics as a hole tone. 4 page

! No or Low Whistling: If the vibration sheet is shifted or blocked, it will affect the effect of the whistling, then you can unscrew the black handle to see the vibration sheet and the structure inside, adjust the position of the vibration sheet of copper reed to align the cover of fan-shape hole, then correctly to install. Check in the following order: 1.If the lid or spout cover is not closed, the steam stream runs out of the lid and the gas pressure is low enough to whistle. 2.Please adjust or clean the whistle device properly, should the vibration be shift or blockage that the steam be blocked, resulting in no or low sound. 3.Whether the water level exceeds a certain range, The amount of water decide to the intensity of pressure, if the water level cause by no or low whistle, you can try to increase the water to the top of the filter hole (not completely exceed the highest filter hole) or max line. Do not fill the kettle fully, leave some space inside for pressure for steam whistle. vibration vibration sheet Cover sheet Cover 7 page
If it is unsuccessful to adjust it at once, you can try again several times. In addition a long period of accumulation of scale or other minerals may also cause no whistle or whispered.! About stainless steel Stainless steel is an alloy of Iron with a minimum of 10.5% Chromium. Chromium produces a thin layer of oxide on the surface of the steel known as the 'passive layer'. This prevents any further corrosion of the surface. Increasing the amount of Chromium gives an increased resistance to corrosion. The general perception towards stainless steel is that it is a super alloy that never rusts. Well, this assumption is anything but true. The reality is that stainless steel does rust. The word stain-less does not imply free from stain or stain-impossible. It simply means that the alloy stains less. Therefore, the surface of stainless steel must be cleaned and maintained regularly to keep its surface smooth and extend its service life. When cleaning stainless steel surfaces, care must be taken to avoid scratching and to avoid bleaching components and abrasive washing liquids, steel balls and abrasive tools. After washing, rinse the surface with water. 9 page
Scale/Stain production: Mainly related to water quality. If hard water, insufficient oxygen content in water, water molecules is unstable, the water calcium and magnesium ions will reduce the solubility, increased precipitate to form a scale.! How to clean up water stain? Baking Soda and Dish Soap: Baking soda mixed with liquid dish soap can make a good paste to gently rub on stains. Use a microfiber cloth or other soft cloth to rub in the direction of the grain. Be sure to rinse the stainless steel surface thoroughly, and towel dry. For tougher stains, leave the paste on for 0.5-2 hours, then wipe clean. Vinegar: If the stains remain, try vinegar. Pour a little white vinegar or apple cider vinegar onto the stained surface. Let it sit for 10~30 minutes. Then rub it with a soft cloth following the grain of the steel. Remember to rinse thoroughly and towel dry. 10 page
Potato skin: Put potato skin on the pot, add to appropriate amount of water to boil for about 10 minutes to remove the scale. Stainless Steel Cleaner: If the stains still don't budge, try a stainless steel cleaner and polisher. Before After 11 page
! Preventing Stains on Stainless Steel! Never use bleach or anything containing chlorine or other metal particles or corrosive liquid on stainless steel, and avoid spraying it nearby or having it drip onto stainless steel surfaces. Don't use oven cleaners around stainless steel, either. Prevent any spray or drips from contacting stainless steel. Don't use any abrasive cleaners on stainless steel, and prevent any scrubbing powder dust or specks from contacting stainless steel. Don't use steel wool or other abrasive cleaning tools on stainless steel, which will ruin the protection layer on the surface of kettle and expose it to oxygen attack and form into rust. You may know how the stains got onto your stainless steel or you may not. Here are tips to prevent stains, which will also destroy the protection layer and get rust. 12 page
