Astralux Roller Blind System Life Cycle and Maintenance Sheet Operating Mechanism: The operating mechanism is specifically designed to be maintenance and trouble free. Periodic dusting of the components may be required. Fabric: All fabrics are coated to ensure that they will always hang flat, repel dust and not fray. General care of the fabric is minimal, requiring occasional vacuuming or dusting. Dirty marks may be removed by wiping with a damp cloth or using a mild detergent. System: Metal operating chain and white bracket covers are supplied as standard. Fabrics available in a wide variety of colours and patterns as selected from available Astralux ranges. All are flame retardant to BS567. Guarantee Period: 3 years for operating mechanism, tube and bottom rail, subject to terms and conditions. Fabric subject to manufacturers warranty only. Life Expectancy: 20 years. Suggested Points to Inspect: ensure tube is securely fastened to installation brackets test operation of chain by rolling fabric up and down ensure chain is pulled on the vertical plane and access is not obstructed by desks etc. make sure there are no obstructions within the window opening which would restrict operation of the blind Suggested frequency of Inspections: Annually.
