HVAC SYSTEM ASHP Goodman 4 Ton 20011 Pressure Pan Readings Duct Leakage Results 3.0-18.0 pa 900 No Mastic on ducts Visible leakage Why is this important? As much as 1/3 of your home's expensive conditioned air may be leaking into or being pulled from to the attic or other unwanted areas through cracks or poorly fitting duct connections. In addition, to increasing utility bills, indoor air may be contaminated with pollen, exhaust fumes, or other hazards. Pressure pan readings under negative pressure should be less than 1.0pa.. Recommendations: 1. Seal ducts with Mastic and test for leakage master bedroom might be disconnected 2. AC unit is over 10 years old need to replace. Marshall Insulation 2 P age
ROOM PRESSURE TESTING Room Pressure Testing/Total Rooms 2 1. Master bedroom 1.9 2. Spare room 1.2 3. Spare room 1.1 Why is this important? High room pressures (greater than +/- 3 Pa) do not allow for air to mix and exchange, causing the unit to run longer and increasing occupant discomfort due to uneven air temperatures. Additional Notes: These high or negative room pressures are only a concern if the bedroom doors are kept closed for any period of time. Recommendations: 1. Keep all doors open or install In Door Passive Vents to balance home. If needed Marshall Can provide and or install these items. Marshall Insulation 3 P age
ATTIC FLOOR INSULATION For insulation to be effective, it must be in 100% contact with the air barrier, no gaps, voids, or compressions. A ½ gap in the air barrier reduces the R-value by 75%. Total floor Square Footage: 1517 Insulation type:, Batting Average Depth: 10 inches Overall Installation quality: good Effective R-value: R30 Description: Customer has batting on the under floor with barrier. Recommendations: make sure batting is aligned CFM50 Blower Door Infiltration Test was 2400 @50 pa negative pressure. Air Changes per hour ACH@50 was 14.0 Marshall Insulation 4 P age
Recommendations 1. Replace back door/ and front door Why is this important? Your home needs to breathe to be healthy. Too much leakage brings contaminants into the home, and increases CFM50 while too little leakage does not allow healthy air exchange with the outside. SAFETY-COMBUSTABLE APPLIANCES Marshall Insulation 5 P age
Why is it important? A large negative pressure inside the home will pull carbon monoxide and other toxins from combustion appliances and the garage. Unsafe water heater placement can be a potential fire danger and can cause other serious dangers. Recommendations: 1. Keep all Flammable Items away from Water Heater. 2. Water heater is 7 years old, need to replace. WINDOWS Existing Windows = Dual Pane Windows Marshall Insulation 6 P age

Why is this important? With 300+ days of sunshine a year, homes in Phoenix are exposed with large amounts of radiant energy from the sun. Windows are a large source of air conditioning load along with causing considerable comfort issues. Shade screens can reduce the sun s rays by 80-90%. Recommendations: N/A None Marshall Insulation 8 P age
