DH1 Installation & Accessories Installation by qualified Electricians only. Do not mount the sensor in the direct light of the switched lamps. How to select the dimming setpoint. Turn the dimming potentiometer to the point where without any daylight the artifical lights are on at 100% and there is no dimming just yet (10V). Measure output to ballast with voltmeter with balllasts connected. How to select the delay time. When using the DH1 with fluorescent lamps, please set the delay time to approx. 10 minutes or more (recommendation by lamp manufacturers). FLUSH MOUNTING SURFACE MOUNTING OCCUPANCY SENSOR ADAPTER Standard installation in suspended ceilings. 45mm ceiling hole. Sensor is held in place with clip (supplied). Applicable to partitioned ceilings e.g. ceiling tiles. Optional installation ring. Applicable e.g. to plasterboard ceilings where standard clip can not be fitted from behind. Product-Nr. 101415 Applicable for retrofits on concrete ceilings. Product- Nr. 101472 Accessories for concrete canister mounting also available on request. Connect up to 4 of 24V sensors in parallel, incl. Daylight Dimming. 230V power supply + switching relay. Optional remote control for DH1. DH1 Motion Sensor Observation Area W W L The DH1 covers a rectangular area on the floor. The orientation of the rectangle is indicated by a symbolic rectangle on the front of the sensor, so you can orient the sensor to best match your room. The size of this observation area can be reduced by pulling out the shading ring around the sensor lense (not applicable for 10m types). 5M TYPES Height(m) W(m) L(m) 1.9 4.3 5.37 2.0 4.53 5.65 2.1 4.75 5.93 2.2 4.98 6.21 2.3 5.21 6.5 2.4 5.43 6.78 2.5 5.66 7.06 2.6 5.89 7.34 2.7 6.11 7.62 2.8 6.34 7.91 2.9 6.57 8.19 3 6.79 8.47 3.1 7.02 8.75 3.2-5m 7.24 9.04
Daylight Harvesting: Definitions and Diagrams. What is Daylight Harvesting? Daylight harvesting is the ability to sense the light levels as they change using a daylight harvesting senor. A Daylight Harvesting Sensor automatically dims the LED lights to maintain an exact light level in a room. DH1 Power Pack for Daylight Harvesting This DH1 Motion Sensor adapter provides a quick and easy way to connect up to 4 of the 24V Occupancy Sensors in parallel. Use in connection with 1 Lead Sensor DH1/24V/5Lsa or /Lsab (incl. Daylight Dimming) and add up to 3 additional simpler sensors DH1/24V/5 (sensors without dimming). The sensors are connected to the adapter with RJ12 cables. The observation areas of the sensor add up resulting in the connected sensors working like one sensor with a very large observation are. Typical use: Open plan offices, large areas. Can also be used with sensors that do NOT provide a Daylight dimming output. In this case the Dimming Signal remains at Max (10V) constantly. Also available with remote control, see next page. For a further switching capacity extension we offer an external contactor relay (30A continuous, 250A inrush current) Product-Nr. 101511 PLEASE NOTE Disconnect mains power when connecting the low-voltage side. DH1 Power Pack: Accessories 2 INTO 1 PLUG. ART. NR. 101382 CABLE ADAPTER KA 01M ART. NR. 100539 These plugs enable the connection of several DH1/24V sensors with RJ12 cables. For example, wire RJ12 from Power Pack to first sensor, into the 2-into-1 plug and loop the RJ12 onwards to the next sensor and so on. Easy access & extension option if you want to use existing wiring instead of full RJ12. Not supplied with BMA2-NL.
DH1 Power Pack with Remote Control Option DH1 Power Pack Functionality With Occupancy / Daylight Harvesting Sensor (e.g. DH1/24V/5LSa) connected: Toggle between manual and automatic dimming. Lights can be dimmed up and down manually by holding down the butto on the remote control. This disables/overwrites the automatic Daylight Harvesting. A short press on the button puts the system back into fully automatic Occupancy Sensing and Daylight Harvesting mode. No Occupancy Sensor connected = Standalone remote controlled manual dimmer Lights can be dimmed up and down manually to the desired light level by holding down the button on the remote control. A short press on the button turns the lights on and off. Dimming speed (min to max.): approx. 6 seconds Applications: Conference rooms, offices.
