Figure 1A: 1 - Front cover 2 - Fan body 3 - Front cover clip 4 - Base frame 5 - Terminal block flap 6 - Slots 7 - Retainers 8 - Guide vane 9 - Spigot assembly To ensure the extract fan works most efficiently: Do not use ducting with a diameter of less than 100mm If flexible ducting is use, stretch it as taught as possible. Do not fix elbow bends directly to the spigot assembly. Elbow bends should have a radius as large as possible. Panel Installation Surface Mounting (Fig. 2A) 1. Cut a Ø105mm hole through the panel, ensuring sufficient space for the fan to be installed. 2. Fig. 1B - By pushing the clip using a small screwdriver pull the front cover (1) away from the fan body (2). 3. The fan body (2) is secured to the base frame (4) by 4 screws. Take out each screw from the four corners (6) to dismantle and release the base frame. 4. Screw the base frame (4) to the panel using appropriate fixtures ensuring that the opening for the spigot lines up correctly with the hole made. 5. Take out the screw that secures the terminal block flap (5) to the fan body (2). 6. Attach the ducting to the spigot (9). 7. Feed the cable through the hole in the terminal block (Fig. 3). 8. Reassemble the fan body (2) to the base frame (4) and secure with 4 screws 9. Follow instructions for Electrical Connections and Wiring in B.
10. Close the terminal block flap and secure with the screw. 11. By pressing the upper and lower clips, fit the front cover back onto the fan body. 12. Switch the mains power supply on and check that the fan is working correctly. Panel Installation Recess Mounting (Fig. 2B) 1. Using the template supplied, mark out and cut a hole in the panel. Wall Installation Surface Mounting Using 100mm EnviroVent Wall Kit. 1. Drill a Ø115mm hole through the wall, ensuring sufficient space for the fan to be installed. 2. Insert the wall sleeve with the wider diameter sleeve facing the room side and cement both ends in place, flush with the wall. The wall sleeve must be angled downwards to drain any condensation to outside. 3. To fix the outside grille, use the back plate as a template and mark the fixing holes on the wall. Drill and plug the wall to fix the back plate securely into position. 4. Secure the outside grille onto the back plate with the screws provided, making sure that the louvers are directed downwards. 5. B. EECTRICA COECTIOS AD WIRIG IMPORTAT: ESURE THAT THE MAIS SUPPY IS SWITCHED OFF BEFORE MAKIG EECTRICA COECTIOS. KUDOS Range fans are class II (double insulation) and do not require earth connection. KUDOS S Standard version with two-speed motor, which can be voltage regulated. Proceed according to one of the following diagrams: Speed selection: Connect ive to B for trickle speed or A for boost (Fig. 3). Fig. 5A. Single-speed operation with the fan operating with independent switch. Speed is selected from either trickle or boost at installation. Please ensure that Building Regulation requirements are met when selecting the speed. Speed selection: Connect ive to B for trickle speed or A for boost (Fig. 3). Fig. 5B. Single speed operation with the fan operating through a light switch. Fig. 6A. 2-speed operation with a switch Fig. 6B. Fan operating with an REB variable speed controller KUDOS T Models with adjustable timer. The timer enables the fan to operate for the time set after the switch has been turned off (Fig. 7A). In timer mode the KUDOS fans operate at slow speed. IMPORTAT: The fan is timed to start up 50 seconds after being switched on, which means that for the first 50 seconds it does not operate. Fig. 7B. Timer based operation with the fan operating through a light switch. To set the timer function (Fig. 9A), turn the potentiometer T min situated beside the connections cover clockwise(5). The fan can be set to four timer options: 1) Auto - If the fan is used for less than 50 seconds, the timer will not come into operation. - If the fan is used for more than 50 seconds the timer is controlled automatically and operates proportionately to the time of use (time of use / x 2 with a maximum of 30 mins). 2) Position 2: Timer set to 2 minutes 3) Position 15: Timer set to 15 minutes 4) Position 30: Timer set to 30 minutes
KUDOS HT Models incorporating an adjustable humidity sensor that can be set between 60 and 90% relative humidity with a timer that can be adjusted between 1 and 30 minutes. In timer mode the KUDOS operates at slow speed. IMPORTAT: The humidity sensor on the KUDOS fans are factory set to 60%. To modify the factory settings, the potentiometers are situated beside the connection cover (Fig. 9B). These are fragile and must be handled with care. To increase the humidity percentage setting, turn the %Hr potentiometer clockwise (this will decrease the sensitivity). You should not attempt to adjust the settings when the fan is in timer mode. Wait until the set time has elapsed before adjusting the settings. Operation 1) Automatic working mode (Fig. 8A). The fan switches on automatically at high sped when the humidity level is above the selected value. It stops when the humidity level drops below this value and when the time set by the timer has elapsed. When the fan operates at slow speed in timer mode. 2) Automatic operation working in conjunction with a light switch (Fig. 8B). The fan will operate even if the humidity level is below the set value. When the light switch is turned off, the fan will continue to operate at slow speed for the length of time set by the timer. ATTETIO: When the relative humidity is above the set value automatic operation prevails over manual operation the fan cannot be turned off by the switch. CEAIG AD MAITEACE IMPORTAT: DISCOECT FROM THE MAIS SUPPY BEFORE CARRYIG OUT CEAIG OR MAITEACE To ensure optimum performance from your extract fan, it should be inspected and cleaned regularly to remove the build up of dust and dirt. To do so, wipe the inlets and front grille with a damp cloth. Remove the front section and hand wash in warm soapy water. Ensure that the front cover is completely dry before reassembling. AFTER SAES SERVICE We recommend you do not dismantle or remove any other parts than those mentioned, as any tampering would automatically cancel the guarantee. If you detect any fault, contact EnviroVent on 01423 810810. Thank you for choosing EnviroVent - the fastest growing ventilation company in the UK.
