SPEAKERS Simon Crosby, CET, CFPS is a Project Manager at Randal Brown & Associates Engineering Ltd., a building code and fire protection engineering firm. Simon provides fire protection engineering services on a wide variety of projects, including numerous fire alarm design and consulting projects. With an active interest in professional and industry development, Simon has served on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Fire Alarm Association since 2005. He is also an active member of numerous code and standard development committees including the ULC S500F Committee, the ULC Subcommittee on Commissioning, the ULC-S524 and ULC-S573 Working Groups, and the Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes Task Group on Fire Alarm Systems. Jordan Klemick, has been in the fire alarm industry for 18 years. Jordan started out as a technician, has held positions in sales and is currently a Branch Manager for Troy Life & Fire Safety in Regina. In 2015 Jordan was elected as President of the Saskatchewan Chapter of the CFAA. Paul Jewett, has been actively involved in fire alarm inspection and service for over 30 years, specializing in large hotels and hospitals. Paul is a qualified CFAA instructor, has presented courses at several colleges and has participated in working groups for ULC standards. He is member of the CFAA National Board of Directors and became a Registered Fire Alarm Technician 1989. Paul is currently the Special Projects and Training Manager for the Mircom Group of Companies Al Bastien, is a leader in the field of life safety education. Having started in the fire alarm industry over twenty years ago as a technician, he continued to expand his skills and knowledge in the industry taking on roles in the sales of preventative maintenance and service agreements, large systems sales, project management, senior technician, technical support, service branch management and life safety consulting. He is an active member of the Canadian Fire Alarm Association serving on both the Ontario Chapter Executive and the National Education Committee. He has instructed the CFAA Fire Alarm Technician Program at St. Clair College of Applied Technology in the Continuing Education and continues to be a consultant in the field.
