Assembly and Testing Separate Control Centre from Back-Plate Remove Connection Cover Pass cables through Back plate and into Control Unit Fit Control Centre onto Backplate or Stand

Assembly and Testing Plug in the power lead and the power transformer into a 13amp socket and turn on Plug in the Vibrating Pad Switch on the radio base or fit the header - depending on version Do NOT connect anything to these two pins. Press the learn button on the Control Centre Take alarm to its working location and press the learn button Watch for rapid green or red LEDs on each unit (Three Flashes per Second)..... until each alarm double beeps and the green LEDs flash every minute

Assembly and Testing Test the smoke alarm - After a few seconds the pad, strobe and red FIRE LED should operate. Then, after a few seconds, press the test button on the control centre The pad, strobe, 4 LEDs and smoke alarm should all operate.

Final Installation Refit the Connector Cover with its screw or the Tamper-proof Security Label Re-assemble The control Centre to its stand or backplate 1. Fix the Smoke Alarm to its final location 2. Locate Control Centre where the Strobe can be seen by the end user 3. Locate Vibrating Pad in suitable position to be able to wake a person for example under a pillow or touching their body in a chair

Light and Sounds Smoke Alarm Power = Brief Red flash every minute followed by a Single beep after 10 secs if the battery power is weak Alarm = Repeating Red flashing light twice every second + a series of 3 beeps every 4 seconds Alarm Silence = Brief Red flash every 10 Seconds Test = Repeating Red flashing light twice every second + a series of 3 beeps Fault = Double Bleep every minute Test Button Jammed = Single beep every 11 seconds Light and Sounds Deaf Alert Power = Brief Green Flash every minute. Alarm = Flashing Red light + Flashing Strobe light +Vibrating Pad + Alarm sound from the Smoke Alarm Test = All four lights show one after another followed by flashing from the Strobe, vibrations from the Pad and alarm sound from the Fire Alarm Fault = Yellow light every minute

Assembly and Testing FireHawk Deaf Alert (Quick reminder Notes) 1) Connect the Wires 2) Switch on Smoke Alarm Radio Base 3) Place Smoke Alarm in room of protection 4) Place Control Centre in Room of Alerting 5) Press the Learn buttons Rapid green leds = Looking for each other and locking Green leds every minute = ready to test. Once the alarms double beep and the LEDs on Alarm and Control centre revert to one GREEN flash every minute:- 6) Test system from both ends

General Notes 1. Up to 14 Control Centres, Heat or Smoke Alarms; in any combination, can be connected to the system. 2. The system has a back-up battery so if it is necessary to move to another room for a few hours, just un-plug from the wall socket and take the complete system with you. Don t forget to plug back into the mains for charging 3. Always test the system at least once a week. 4. If you wish to add further alarms to an existing system, power down all existing Alarms and Control Centres and re-learn with the additional alarm(s) as shown from slide 5 above. 5.
