Product identification Location of nameplate All the necessary information about the product can be found on the nameplate. Nameplate in SMART ovens is located on the side of the oven. The serial number The appliance serial number is printed on the nameplate. The serial number is necessary to match the correct spare parts for the product. Decoding the serial number. An example of the serial number: 99991111136513 9999 - serial number in the batch of the product 11111 - Product Code (a unique number for each type of appliance) 365 - day of production 13 - year of production 4

DEMO mode (showroom operation) The SMART oven can operate in a showroom mode. In this mode, the relays of the heating elements are open and they do not operate when any functions are selected. This offers an opportunity to get acquainted with the appliance functionality safely. In this mode oven light and the control panel function as in normal use - you can select and run baking programs (programs run in real time). How to activate? To activate showroom demo mode, the appliance must be in clock mode. To activate the demo mode touch and hold the sensor with one finger and touch and hold the centre of the display with another finger. Hold down both fingers until DEMO appears at the bottom of the display and activation of the showroom demo mode is confirmed by a short beep. The deactivation Deactivate the showroom demo when the appliance displays the clock. To deactivate the demo mode touch and hold the sensor with one finger and touch and hold the centre of the display with another finger. Hold down both fingers until DEMO disappears at the bottom of the display and deactivation of the showroom demo mode is confirmed by a short beep. Caution: Deactivation of the showroom demo mode restores the full functionality of the oven and its heating elements. 5

Child Lock How to activate? Touch and hold for 3 seconds to activate the Child Lock. Activation of the Child Lock is indicated on the display by the key symbol and a short beep. When the Child Lock is enabled it is not possible to make any changes to the cooking programmes. Only the Key and On/ Off touch sensors are active. When Child Lock is active use touch sensor to terminate a programme and show current time. If you touch the screen when the Child Lock is active, one long beep will be heard and the following message will be displayed: "Touch and hold for 3 seconds to unlock." The deactivation Touch and hold for 3 seconds to deactivate the Child Lock. The key symbol will disappear and a short beep will be heard. 6

Automatic power cut-off If the oven operates any heating function for a long (excessive) period of time, heating elements are disconnected. The period when the appliance automatically disconnects the heating elements is shown on the following graph: If all the heating elements are disconnected, this is indicated by a flashing symbol. Touch and hold for 2 seconds to deactivate the automatic power cut-off. After this, the appliance shows current time. 7

Error Codes To display error codes go to Settings \ Service E0 E1 E2 Meaning Temperature sensor failure Core temperature probe failure. Steam generator sensor failure Remedy 1. Check the temperature sensor resistance (the correct resistance is 540 Ω +/- 5%). 2. If any other resistance is measured, replace the temperature sensor according to the manual. 3. If the resistance value is correct, check the wiring harness. 1. Replace core temperature probe. 2. If the fault persists, replace the core temperature probe socket according to the manual. Caution: Pre-set programs for cooking meat dishes require that a core temperature probe is connected. If the core temperature probe is not detected, the symbol will be displayed and the pre-set program will not be started. This is normal operation of the appliance and not an error. 1. Check the temperature sensor resistance (the correct resistance is 540 Ω +/- 5%). 2. If any other resistance is measured, replace the steam generator sensor according to the manual. If the appliance detects an error, its code will be displayed as shown above. If the E0 error is displayed, it is not possible to use the appliance. The error screen is displayed permanently and it is not possible to navigate the menu structure. If the E1 error is displayed, it is not possible to use the appliance with programs that require the core temperature sensor. The appliance may be used for other programs. 8

Door assembly Removing the door assembly 1. Lift the lock of the left and right door hinge. 2. Position the door at an angle of 45 relative to the front of the appliance, lift and pull out toward yourself. 3. Place the door on a flat surface with the handle facing downward. Using a flat screwdriver, pry the cap of the profile on one side to remove it. 9

Door assembly 4. Pull out the inner glass panel and carefully lift it. Do the same with the middle glass panel(s). 5. Remove the screw that fastens the hinge to the inner glass profile. Pull the hinge out of the profile. Refer to the Annex to the SBI_001 service manual. 6. Use the screwdriver to pry and remove the glass panel bracket. 10

Door assembly 7. Remove the door handle by undoing the screws. 8. To reassemble the components follow the above steps in reverse order. 11

Front panel Remove the front panel 1. Remove the front panel top cover and lift it up. On both sides undo the screws that fasten the front panel to the body of the appliance. 2. Undo the screws of the control panel display connectors and use the screwdriver to pry them out. Disconnect the wiring harness (when reconnecting make sure they are reconnected correctly) 12

Front panel 3. Place the front panel on a flat padded surface (so as not to scratch the front panel). Remove the control panel display enclosure screws. Pry the control panel display enclosure and pull towards you. 4. As indicated, pry the front panel inner frame in order to release the fasteners. This will allow you to release the front panel and the inner frame. 5. To reassemble the components follow the above steps in reverse order. 13

Speaker Remove the Speaker 1. Remove the front panel top cover and lift it up according to relevant instructions in the manual. To remove the speaker, you must disconnect the wiring harness and remove the four screws. 2. To reassemble the components follow the above steps in reverse order. 14

Cooling fan assembly Remove the Cooling Fan assembly 1. Remove the front panel top cover and lift it up according to relevant instructions in the manual. Remove the screws securing the oven chamber top cover to the rear and side walls of the oven chamber. Disconnect the power supply harness. 2. Undo the screws of the assembly cover. Disconnect the servo motor wiring harness, then remove the screws securing the servo motor. 3. Remove the screws securing the cooling fan assembly. Pull the cooling fan assembly towards the rear of the oven, and then lift up. 15

Cooling fan assembly 4. Remove the fan drive mounting screws, then disconnect the wiring harness. 5. To reassemble the components follow the above steps in reverse order. 16

Power adapter and control module Remove the module 1. Remove the top cover according to relevant instructions in the manual. Remove the rear wall. Disconnect the wiring harness from the module. Remove the module cover by undoing the screws. Disconnect other wiring harnesses. 2. To reassemble the components follow the above steps in reverse order. 17

Convection fan assembly Remove the fan 1. Remove the rear wall according to relevant instructions in the manual. Remove the fan guard by removing the screws. Remove the fan propeller by holding the fastening nut with the pliers and rotating propeller. 2. Remove the fan drive by bending the locking tab. Then turn counter-clockwise and pull the fan drive toward you. Disconnect the fan drive wiring harness. 3. To reassemble the components follow the above steps in reverse order. 18

Temperature sensor Remove the temperature probe 1. Remove the rear wall according to relevant instructions in the manual. Remove the screw securing the temperature sensor. Remove the temperature sensor embedded in the socket. Disconnect the temperature sensor wiring harness. 2. To reassemble the components follow the above steps in reverse order. 19

Heating elements Remove the top heating element 1. Remove the rear wall according to relevant instructions in the manual. Disconnect the wiring harness of the top heater. Remove the nuts securing the heater to the oven chamber. After unscrewing, remove the heater from the oven chamber. 2. To reassemble the components follow the above steps in reverse order. 20

Heating elements Remove the convection heater 1. Remove the rear wall and the fan guard according to relevant instructions in the manual. Disconnect the wiring harness from the convection fan heater. Using a socket head wrench undo and remove the nut securing the heater assembly. 2. Inside the oven chamber, remove the screw securing the heater and pull the heater toward yourself. 3. To reassemble the components follow the above steps in reverse order. 21

Heating elements Remove the bottom heater 1. Remove the rear guard according to relevant instructions in the manual. Disconnect the wiring harness from the bottom the heater. Move the oven chamber insulation out of the way to allow access to the heater mounting. Deflect the catches securing the heater. 22

Heating elements 2. Place the oven on its side, remove the bottom cover. Bend the insulation holders by the steam generator. Move the oven chamber insulation aside to allow access to the heater mounting. 3. Using a flat screwdriver pry the heater free and pull back. 4. To reassemble the components follow the above steps in reverse order. 23

Steam generator Remove the steam generator 1. Remove the back and the bottom cover according to relevant instructions in the manual. Bend the insulation holders by the steam generator. Move oven insulation away. Disconnect the wiring harness from the steam generator. 2. Loosen the marked nuts to pull out the steam generator temperature sensor. 3. Disconnect the water supply hose by removing the clamp. 24

Steam generator 4. Remove the steam generator semi-ring mounting brackets. Once they are removed, pull out the steam generator inside the chamber. 5. To reassemble the components follow the above steps in reverse order. 25

Light module Remove the light module Replace the lower level light in the same way as the upper level light. 1. Remove the side panels according to relevant instructions in the manual. Disconnect the wiring harness from the module. Bend the locking tabs (this step can be performed without removing the oven chamber insulation). 2. Remove the screws holding the lamp cover. Gently push the whole assembly inside. 3. To reassemble the components follow the above steps in reverse order. 26

Core temperature probe socket Remove the temperature probe socket 1. Remove the side wall according to relevant instructions in the manual. Inside the chamber loosen the nut fastening the temperature probe socket. Disconnect the wiring harness from the temperature probe socket and then remove the socket from inside the oven chamber. It is not necessary to remove the oven insulation. 2. To reassemble the components follow the above steps in reverse order. 27

Water tank Remove the water tank 1. Remove the left side wall according to relevant instructions in the manual. Disconnect the water supply hose by removing the clamp. Undo the screws securing the water tank. 2. Move the water tank toward the back and pull down. 3. To reassemble the components follow the above steps in reverse order. 28

Front wall Remove the front wall 1. Remove the door assembly, side walls and front panel according to relevant instructions in the manual. To replace the front wall it is not necessary to remove the oven insulation. Undo the screws securing the front wall to the oven chamber. 2. To reassemble the components follow the above steps in reverse order. 29

Oven door seal Remove the oven door seal 1. Unhook the seal holders after removing the front wall according to relevant instructions in the manual. 2. To reassemble the components follow the above steps in reverse order. 30

Oven chamber insulation Replace the oven insulation 1. Remove the top cover, side walls, bottom cover and fan guard according to relevant instructions in the manual. Remove the rear insulation cover (previously disconnecting all wire harnesses) by removing the two screws. 2. Replace the oven insulation 3. To reassemble the components follow the above steps in reverse order. 31
