Account on Test Multiple Systems ADT Select DataSource has been updated to enhance the on test process for sites which have multiple systems attached. To access the Account on Test area, users still click the Modify link located to the right hand side of the Currently on Test option on the Site General Information page. (Place an account on test from the Site General Information window, with the Modify link) Note: If you are interested in having this ability, and the Modify link does not currently display on your ADT Select profile, please contact Web Services directly at 888 789 2523 / adtselecthelp@adt.ca Using this feature, a customer can place their account on test, perform a system test, review their transmitted signals, and take their account off test, all through the Web Product. Users may now place multiple systems on test simultaneously using the Select the Systems to be Placed on Test hyperlink: 2
By clicking the Select the Systems to be Placed on Test hyperlink, users can choose to place multiple systems on test by checking the box located to the left of each system: Users can also clear multiple systems from test simultaneously using the Select the Systems to be Cleared from Test hyperlink. Additionally, a list of Other Systems on this Site on the right hand side of the Account on Test area provides a quick reference of which accounts are currently on test. 3
Note: Users are only presented with the appropriate on/off test option based on their currently selected system. For example, when accessing a system which is on test, users may not place another system on test. Always verify the status of the current system when accessing the Account on Test page. 30 Day Event History report Users will now notice a new One Click report available on the Site General Information page. The 30 Day Event History Report can be used to automatically generate a standard Event History report containing data for the current site for the past 30 days. Clicking this link will automatically direct users to their Report Inbox to retrieve their report, similar to other One Click reports already available. 4
Contact Suspension New to the latest release of ADT Select DataSource, the contact window contains a new option for contact suspension. Checking the checkbox beside Suspended in the contact window allows users to access the edit suspension dates hyperlink for the contact: After clicking the edit suspension dates hyperlink, users are presented with a window where they may enter a Suspend Start and Suspend End date range. While a contact record is suspended the individual will not be contacted during an alarm event. The contacts PIN (if any) remains valid for the location during the suspension period. Note: Contact suspension only prevents a contact from being notified during an alarm event. If a contact record should not be valid it should still be deleted or expired as per previous standards. If you have any questions or concerns regarding contact suspension please contact the Web Services team directly at 888 789 2523 / adtsel ecthelp@adt.ca 5
Reporting Options The latest revision of ADT Select DataSource has undergone some adjustments to its reporting options, to improve usability. Each update is described below. Service Co. Type Filter The Service Co. Type filter has been an available restriction option for multiple reports on the ADT Select DataSource product. With the latest revision this restriction option has been added to the following reports: Alarm Incident Open/Close Occurrence Open/Close Exception To ensure that the addition of this filter does not impact existing clients running their reports, a default option of Select Option to Apply Filter has been added. Unless this option is changed by the user, the Service Co Type filter will not impact the results of any report: Additionally a new option of Contractor has been added to the existing Service Co Type filters to allow for detailed sorting for multi tiered corporate account access: If you are interested in how this new option can be utilized to enhance your current reporting structure, please contact Web Services directly at 888 789 2523 (adtselecthelp@adt.ca) for additional details. 6
Mail Out Report Irreg O/C only The Irreg Open/Close Only option has also been modified with the new release of the ADT Select DataSource product. This option is available to users running the Mail Out Report, and can be used to refine results to track locations which are operating outside of a pre determined schedule: Selection of the Irreg Open/Close Only option restricts the report to return only Irregular Open/Close signals. This would include Early/Late Opening and Closing signals only, where the system has been armed/disarmed outside of the alarm schedule on file with ADT. The update to this option means the Mail Out Report can now be utilized to return a simplified report to users looking to quickly identify locations that are not adhering to their schedules. Previously, the option when selected returned all valid signals for a location when an Irregular Open/Close had been received during the specified Event Start End dates. 7
Scheduled Reports The latest revision of ADT Select DataSource has also made changes to how a scheduled report is created, to assist with streamlining the process for new and existing users. When creating a scheduled report, a new text item is presented along the Run area, automatically adjusting to identify when the next scheduled report will run: In addition, users are no longer required to utilize a dynamic formula to specify the date range for their report. Instead, users need to specify the first range of dates that the report should run for only. Once the report has run, these dates will automatically roll forward the appropriate amount of time. For example, to setup a daily report we first select a Daily run time, and check off those days we want the report to run: Since this report will next run on February 24, the date range (for a daily report) will include data from the previous day. For this example the Start Date would be Feb 23, and the End Date will be Feb 24: 8
Note that the message to the right reminds the user of the next run date/time to make setup easier. Once the report has run, the Start and End Dates will roll forward automatically. Note: All existing scheduled reports will update to this new format when the new revision of ADT Select is released. The frequency and data contained within existing reports will not change, but the new format will be employed and visible when reviewing existing reports online.
