Manufacturer s Sixty Day Limited Warranty Table of Contents The manufacturer warrants that all parts and components are free of defects in materials and workmanship for 60 days. This warranty is valid only in accordance with the conditions set forth below: 1. The warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser and is not transferable. In addition, proof of purchase must be demonstrated. 2. This limited warranty is the only written or express warranty given by the manufacturer. Any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose on this product is limited in duration to the duration of this warranty. IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using the appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following: READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING CHECK THE VOLTAGE indicated on the appliance to make sure it corresponds to your home voltage. Use iron/steamer combo ONLY for its intended use. To avoid electric shock, DO NOT immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. NEVER yank cord to disconnect from outlet. Tug from the head at outlet to disconnect from the wall. DO NOT allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let appliance cool completely before storing. Loop cord loosely around appliance when storing. ALWAYS disconnect the appliance from electrical outlet when filling or emptying water and when not in use. DO NOT operate the appliance with a damaged cord or if the appliance has been dropped or damaged. To avoid risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the Unit; take it to a qualified serviceman for examination and repair. Incorrect reassembly can cause a risk of electric shock when appliance is used. CLOSE SUPERVISION is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children. DO NOT leave the appliance unattended while the Unit is connected or on an ironing board. DO NOT perform steam ironing on clothes while wearing. Steam is hot and CAN BURN human skin. DO NOT use on pets. Burns can occur from touching hot surfaces, hot water or steam. USE CAUTION when turning the appliance upside down. There may be hot water in the water tank. CARE should be taken when using the appliance due to the emission of steam. To avoid a circuit overload, DO NOT operate the iron on the same circuit with another high wattage appliance. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a cord with an ampere rating equal to or greater than the maximum rating of the iron should be used. A cord rated for less amperage can result in a RISK of fire or electric shock due to overheating. CARE should be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over. The iron MUST NOT be left unattended while it is connected to the supply mains. The iron MUST BE used and rested on a stable surface. When placing the iron on its stand, ENSURE that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable. The iron IS NOT TO BE USED if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking. If the supply cord is DAMAGED, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a service agent or similar qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. The appliance is NOT INTENDED for use by children or other persons without assistance or supervision if their physical, sensory or mental capabilities prevent them from using it safely. Children should be SUPERVISED to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. The iron is intended ONLY for its ironing and steam cleaning uses. (Note: Do not use steam cleaning for leather. It is easy to CAUSE BURNS.) Please refer to the cleaning methods described on the garment indicator label provided by manufacturer before use. Caution Never use with any cleaning agent, spray or solution to remove stains. These may do harm to your clothes or cause fire or any unexpected hazard. Loosen the tie and completely unwind the power cord. When used for the first time, the appliance may give off smoke and an odor for several minutes. This is caused by heating and subsequent drying of the sealers used when assembling the appliance. Make sure the room is ventilated. FIG. 2 9 3 2 1 6 7 Important When steam ironing or steam cleaning, keep the appliance 30mm (about 1.5 in.) away from clothes. Incorrect operation will cause uneven stains and ironing traces on your clothes. Caution FIG. 3 10 11 8 Before assembling or disassembling brush accessories, unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet and allow it cool down completely. FIG. 4 12 16 15 18 13 17 14 How to Use Assemble: 1. Select the brush accessories according to your requirement. 2. Assemble the front of the brush attachment onto the iron (see FIG 2). 3. Press the brushes down to lock in place (see FIG 3). Disassemble: 1. Using the Red Steam Express TM Settings Note: The lint brush is designed for clothes, neckties and fabrics (see FIG. 6). The bristle brush is designed for curtains and sofas (see FIG. 7). The anodized aluminum plate brush is designed for steam ironing low temperature fibers such as nylon, acetate, silk, and wool (see FIG. 8). FIG. 6 How to Fill Water Tank Unplug the appliance and push the steam knob to the dry position. Open fill cover, use the beaker to slowly pour tap water into water tank up until MAX fill line has been reached and then close the fill cover. Do not fill the appliance directly from the faucet (see FIG. 9). FIG. 9 FIG. 7 FIG. 8 Note: The machine works with normal tap water. If the water is very hard, we recommended using demineralized water diluted 50/50 with tap water. Never use distilled water alone. Never use chemical substances or detergents (e.g. perfumed water, essence, descaling solutions, etc.) Max/Cotton Steam Ironing a. Fill water tank following directions in How to fill water tank. b. Place the appliance on a stable, level ironing board or on its stand. c. Plug the appliance into the main socket and push the continuous steam knob to the dry position. (see FIG. 10). d. Turn temperature control dial to the MAX temperature setting. The red power light will turn on. Allow 2 minutes for iron to reach the desired temperature. e. Push the steam knob to steam position for steam ironing (see FIG. 11). f. After use, turn temperature control dial to MIN position, unplug the appliance from main socket, empty the remaining water from water tank. g. Store the appliance after it has completely cooled down. Settings Burst Steam Ironing a. Fill water tank following directions in How to fill water tank. b. Place the appliance on a stable, level ironing board or on its stand. c. Plug the appliance into the main socket and push the continuous steam knob to the dry position. d. Turn temperature control dial to the MAX temperature setting. The red power light will turn on. Allow 2 minutes for iron to reach the desired temperature. e. Press and release the burst steam trigger for burst steam ironing. Do not press the burst steam trigger more than once every 2 seconds. (If water leakage occurs, reduce pressing the steam release button). f. After use, turn temperature control dial to MIN position, unplug the appliance from main socket, and then empty water from water tank. g. Store the appliance only after it has completely cooled down. Settings - Care & Cleaning e. Press and release the burst steam trigger for burst steam ironing. Do not press the burst steam trigger more than once every 2 seconds. (If water leakage occurs, reduce pressing the steam release button). f. After use, turn temperature control dial to MIN position, then unplug the appliance from main socket, and then empty water from water tank. g. Store the appliance only after it has completely cooled down. FIG. 12 Rest Stand During use, rest the Unit on the rest stand (see FIG. 12). Use Small Cleaning Brush Use small brush to clean fibers off the bristle brush. Note: In order to get a more powerful jet of steam, do not steam while iron is on auto steam function. Dry Ironing a. Place the appliance on a stable, level ironing board or on its stand. b. Plug the appliance into main socket and push the continuous steam knob to the dry position. c. Turn temperature control dial to desired setting according the fabric setting chart. The red power light will turn on. Allow 2 minutes for iron to reach the desired temperature. d. After use, turn temperature control dial to MIN position, then unplug the appliance from main socket. e. Store the appliance only after it has completely cooled down. Steam Cleaning a. Fill water tank following directions in How to fill water tank. b. Select appropriate brush accessory for the fabric you are steaming. Assemble brush following directions in Assemble or disassemble brushes. c. Plug the appliance into main socket and push the continuous steam knob to the dry position. d. Turn temperature control dial to the MAX temperature setting. The red power light will turn on. Allow 2 minutes for iron to reach the desired temperature. 10 Red Steam Express Model: SQ2-U1 Red Steam Express Model: SQ2-U1 11 FIG. 13 Multi-Directional Steam Cleaning The garment steamer can be used in multi-directional positions (see FIG. 13). Important The flex cord can be damaged if wound too tightly. Make a loose, flexible loop. Allow the garment steamer to cool before wrapping the cord. Care & Cleaning Before cleaning, unplug the unit from power socket, and allow the appliance to completely cool down. Then clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the unit into water or any liquids. We do not recommend ironing clothes on a high temperature on the ironing board. This may cause burns and leftover residue on the soleplate. Iron an old cloth to remove residue. After use, turn off all switches on the unit, disconnect from the main socket, empty remaining water from water tank, and then store the Unit after it has been completely cooled down.
