Do not use the unit with any openings blocked. Keep openings free of dust, lint, hair and anything that may reduce airflow. 10.Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts of the unit. 11.Turn all controls off before unplugging the unit. 12.Do not use flammable or combustible liquids in the unit, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present. 13.Hold the end of the plug on the power cord when rewinding the cord into the cord reel. Do not allow end of plug to whip when rewinding. 14.Unplug the unit before filling the tank. 15.Do not use around anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes. 16.Do not use without water in the tank, and make sure the water level is at the appropriate level before use. - 4 -

17.If the supply cord is damaged, the manufacturer or an authorized service center must replace it, in order to avoid a hazard. 18.This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or Mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. Never use the appliance near flammable or explosive materials -- there is danger of fire or explosion as this is an electrically powered appliance. Cord Connection This unit runs on electricity, that means there is always danger of electric shock, so please observe the following; - Never touch the plug with wet hands. - Always pull directly with the plug. If you want to disconnect the appliance from the outlet. Never pull on the cord, as it might break. - Take care that the power cord is not bent, pinched, rolled over or gets in contact with heat sources. - Use only extension cords suited to the power requirements of the appliance. - Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. - Only operate the appliance if your outlet voltage is the same as that indicated on the appliance's nameplate. Using the wrong voltage can destroy the appliance. - If the power cord of this appliance is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturers, their authorized service representative or a similarly qualified person to avoid danger to the user. OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS WARNING To reduce the risk of electric shock, the power cord must be disconnected before removing the water tank, refilling the tank or performing maintenance or troubling shooting checks NOTE: Always remove the power plug from the wall outlet before assembling or refilling the water tank. n GETTING STARTED 1. Make sure the unit is unplugged from the wall outlet and remove the main top portion of the unit to access the water tank. 2. Fill the water tank with room temperature water to the MAX fill line. (DO NOT OVERFILL) (Fig1) 3. Place the main top portion of the unit on to the water tank. 4. Plug the power cord into the back of the main motor unit, and into your wall outlet. 5. Power the unit on by pressing the on/off button located on the main L.E.D. display screen. (Fig1) - 7 -

USING THE ADDITIONAL FEATURES 1. Air Ionizer (Fig2 #1) Use this button to turn the air ionizer on and off. 2. Germ Neutralizing UV Light (Fig2 #2) Use this button to turn the UV light on and off. 3. Sleep Mode (Fig2 #3) This will make the machine run at a low speed, and the L.E.D lights will dim. After 1 minute, all lights will shut off except for the Sleep Mode symbol, indicating the unit is in Sleep Mode. 4. Timer (Fig2 #4) - This feature will allow you to schedule how many hours you would like the unit to run before it automatically shuts off, and you can also schedule a time for how many hours unit it turns on automatically. To schedule a time frame for the unit to turn off automatically, you will first turn the unit on by pressing the center power button and press the Timer button until the desired time frame is displayed. To schedule a time frame for the unit to turn on automatically, you will want the unit powered down, then press the Timer button until the desired time frame is displayed. 5. Water Illuminating L.E.D. s (Fig2 #5) Press this button to turn the the Water Illuminating L.E.D. lights on and off. Once activated, the L.E.D. lights will slowly cycle through their 7-color illumination. 6. Motor Fan Speed (Fig2 #6) Adjust the airflow/fan speed by pressing this button. There are three (3) airflow/fan speeds; the unit by default will automatically run on the Low speed when the unit is powered on. Press the button once to put the unit on Medium speed, press the button twice to put the unit on High speed, then press the button a third time to put the unit back to the Low speed. (Fig2) - 8 -

MAINTENANCE & CARE To prevent damage and prolong the life of your unit, please follow the procedures listed below: 1. Anytime you are removing the main top motor unit, always use caution and power down the unit and unplug the unit from the wall outlet before the top is removed from the water tank. Also, anytime you are removing the top portion of unit to refill the tank, make sure to set the top portion down in the correct position to prevent water running into the motor unit. (see Fig3 below) (FIG3) CORRECT INCORRECT 2. Once the water level has reached the MIN level indicated on the front of the clear water tank, turn the unit off by pressing the on off button located in the middle of the main display screen (see page 6) and refill the tank back to the MAX fill line located on the front of the clear water tank. 3. When the unit is not going to be used for an extended period (4 or more days) you will want to drain the clear water tank and dry the entire tank and main top motor unit with a towel before the unit is stored. 4. Some scaling can build up in the clear tank. Be sure to drain the tank and clean any scaling from the inside of the tank before refilling the tank. 5. To ensure the unit is working correctly, and dispersing water correctly, you will want to inspect the tip of the pickup cone shown below. If debris is blocking the tip of the pickup cone, clear the debris with a toothpick. (Fig4) (Fig4) - 9 -

Cleaning the unit WARNING: Always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the wall outlet before cleaning it. ATTENTION: Do not use Alcohol, cleaning or scouring agents to clean your machine, as these may damage the appliance. Clean the outside of the housing using only a slightly damp washcloth. Troubleshooting WARNING: Never use a defective appliance. Always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the outlet or remove the battery before you start to troubleshoot. Fault Possible Cause(s) Solution The unit will not turn on. The wall outlet side of the plug is not connected to the electrical wall outlet, the unit side of the plug is not inserted into the back of the unit or the appliance is not switched to the on position. Electrical wall socket does not carry current. Insert the plug into an electrical wall outlet and back of unit and press the on/off button to the on position. See pages 6-7 Test the unit on another outlet that you are sure is carrying current. Airflow is low. And/or water is not dispersing properly. The power cord/supply is damaged. Replace with a new cord/power supply by an authorized service center or professional technician. The main top motor unit is installed incorrectly. Reinstall the top motor unit so that it sits flat and level on the water tank, and is firmly seated. The pickup cone is clogged. Clear any clog/debris from the tip of the pickup cone. See page 9 Water is dirty/contaminated. Empty the water tank, clean thoroughly to remove any possible contaminates/scale and refill with clean water. See page 9 The main top motor unit is Reinstall the top motor unit so that installed incorrectly. it sits flat and level on the water tank, and is firmly seated. The unit makes unusual noises, or is louder than usual. The water tank is at or below the minimum MIN fill line. The pickup cone is clogged or the water is dirty/contaminated. Refill the water tank to the MAX fill line. See pages 7&9 Clear any clog/debris from the tip of the pickup cone. Empty the water tank, clean thoroughly to remove any possible contaminates/scale and refill with clean water. See page 9-10 -

ONE (1) YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY Prolux warranties this product free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of One (1) year on the motor, and body of the unit, free from manufacturer defects in material and workmanship from the original date of purchase, when utilized for normal use. Subject to the following conditions, exclusions, and exceptions: What is Not Covered by the Prolux Warranty - Warranty Exclusions. This limited warranty does not extend to and expressly excludes: 1. Normal wear and tear and/or replacement attachments or accessories, including, without limitation, extension cords, hoses, filters, switches, carbon motor brushes and other attachments. 2. Damage or burnout of the motor resulting from failure to clear a blockage occurring during the normal course of use. 3. Loss or damage to the unit resulting from conditions beyond the control of Prolux including without limitation, misuse, accidents, abuse, neglect, negligence from the customer, overuse beyond capacity of the unit, or unauthorized modification and/or alteration. 4. Loss or damage to the unit resulting from failure to follow the required maintenance schedule, or failure to use the unit in accordance with written instructions from Prolux, guidelines or the terms of its Owner s Manual. If your appliance fails to operate properly while in use under normal household conditions within the warranty period, please contact your authorized PROLUX dealer you purchased the unit from. Non-durable parts including, without limitation, filters, accessories, brushes, belts, and electrical parts, which normally require replacement, are specifically excluded from warranty. This warranty is limited solely to the cost of the repair or replacement of the unit at Prolux s option. This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts and does not apply to any unit that has been tampered (by unauthorized user) with or used for commercial purposes. This limited warranty does not cover damage caused by shipping damage, misuse, abuse, negligent handling, or damage due to faulty packaging or mishandling in transit. This warranty is extended to the original purchaser of the unit only and is not transferable. *IMPORTANT: Before sending unit back for warranty work, contact your authorized PROLUX retailer you bought the unit from first. Unauthorized warranty claims may be sent back. Authorized Warranty claims: PROLUX shall be responsible for all parts and labor and the customer shall be responsible for all shipping charges to and from the PROLUX service center.
