Slowly Drop Fan Shroud while pulling forward to release D drain Note: If updating the unit with a drain heater order part HS-3567 and insert it through the shroud D and into the cabinet drain pipe approx. 8.5 secure the drain heater to evaporator shroud rear flange with aluminum tape see example at the right, route wires with the defrost thermostat wires and wire the heater in parallel with Defrost heater.
Commercial Series Defrost Thermistor (bottom of Evap.) Cabinet Thermistor: Be careful when dropping Evap. Shroud Evap. Fan Shroud Cabinet Thermistor : Mounted inside Shroud To check thermistor resistance, follow the steps below. 1) Move the power switch to the "OFF" position, then unplug the appliance. 2) Remove the control box cover. 3) Disconnect and remove the thermistor in question. 4) Immerse the thermistor sensor portion in a glass containing ice and water for 2 to 3 min. 5) Check the resistance between the wires at the thermistor connector. Normal reading is within 16.0 to 16.7 kω. If outside the normal reading, replace the thermistor.
