DESCRIPTION These versatile blowers and coils may be used for split-system cooling or heat pump operation when used with matching coils. They may be installed in upflow, downflow, or horizontal left or right applications, and may include electric heat for both single and three phase applications. The electronically commutated motor (ECM) automatically adjusts to meet a wide range of airflow requirements. Use of these variable speed air handlers will boost the efficiency of split system air conditioners or heat pumps up to approximately 1.5 SEER, and as much as 0.5 HSPF in heat pumps during the heating mode. Improved comfort and low sound are additional benefits. lower cabinets have factory installed, extra-thick, 3/4 insulation on all models, suitable for all installations. NOTE: For proper matching of split system air conditioners and heat pumps, and performance data, consult the appropriate Technical Guide for the outdoor equipment. FEATURES CAINET -The compact and sturdy cabinet is protected with a durable, attractive finish to prevent rust. The cabinet is also insulated to prevent cabinet sweating. All N1VS models have 3/4 inch insulation. LOWERS -The electronically commutated motor provides soft start/stop operation as it ramps up to full speed and slowly ramps off. This ensures super quiet operation. There are multiple, independent, heat and cool speeds available to optimize the proper airflow for the system requirements. COILS -Staggered rows of rifled copper tubes are mechanically expanded into aluminum fins to provide high heat transfer and long-lasting quality. The G2FD multi-position coils may be used for upflow, downflow, and horizontal left or right applications. These coils may be converted for horizontal left or right installations by installing a 1HP0623 or 1HP0628 horizontal drain pan. These coils are also available with factory installed horizontal drain pans. Coil cabinets are insulated with standard 1/2 installation to prevent sweating or selected models are available from the factory with 3/4 insulation, suitable for any installation. ELECTRIC HEATERS - 1 & 3 phase models are available in 2 to 30 KW sizes. All heaters include nickel-chromium elements and a 5-year limited warranty for 1 phase heaters and a 1-year limited warranty for 3 phase heaters. Circuit breakers are used in all 208/230 volt, single-phase heaters of 13 KW and larger. Models equipped with circuit breakers may be altered in the field to use multi-source power supply. Overtemperature limit switches provide protection from air flow loss. EASY INSTALLATION - These air handler and coil units are designed to provide the lowest total installation cost. Accessible color coded control wiring, top and side power wiring knockouts, easy to install drain connections and electric heaters all combine to minimize installed cost on every job. CONTROL OARD - The control board is equipped with low voltage terminal strips for easy installation. The control board is also equipped with plug-in receptacles for the optional heaters.
