Government of India has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme[TEQIP]-Phase II Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to eligible payments under the contract for which this invitation for quotations is issued. 3. Quotation, 3.1 The contract shall be for the full quantity as described above. 3.2 Corrections, if any, shall be made by crossing out, initialing, dating and re writing.
3.3 All duties and other levies payable by the supplier under the contract shall be included in the unit price. 3.4 Applicable taxes shall be quoted separately for all items. 3.5 The prices quoted by the bidder shall be fixed for the duration of the contract and shall not be subject to adjustment on any account. 3.6 The Prices should be quoted in Indian Rupees only. 4. Each bidder shall submit only one quotation. 5. Quotation shall remain valid for a period not less than 55 days after the last date of quotation submission. 6. Evaluation of Quotations, The Purchaser will evaluate and compare the quotations determined to be substantially responsive i.e. which 6.1 are properly signed ; and 6.2 confirm to the terms and conditions, and specifications. 7. The Quotations would be evaluated for all items together. 8. Award of contract: The Purchaser will award the contract to the bidder whose quotation has been determined to be substantially responsive and who has offered the lowest evaluated quotation price. 8.1 Notwithstanding the above, the Purchaser reserves the right to accept or reject any quotations and to cancel the bidding process and reject all quotations at any time prior to the award of contract. 8.2 The bidder whose bid is accepted will be notified of the award of contract by the Purchaser prior to expiration of the quotation validity period. The terms of the accepted offer shall be incorporated in the purchase order. 9. All supplied items are under warranty of 12 months from the date of successful acceptance of items. 10. A helical coil made of copper to be fixed inside the vessel. A motorized agitator to be fixed at the center of the coil. The vessel should be provided with an electric heater and a controller is also to be provided for vessel. Heater heats water in the jacket while cold water is circulated through coll. Temperature of circulated water and water In vessel Is measured and thus heat transfer coefficient at various agitator speeds can be determined. SPECIFICATIONS : Vessel approx. 20 lit. capacity, provided with glass wool insulation all around and electric heater at the bottom. Agitator 150 mm dia, with 1/8 HP motor to drive the agitator. LEVER SAFETY VALVE An all metallic demonstration model showing the valve seat, fulcrum and lever with adjustable weight. 2. SPRING LOADED SAFETY VALVE The demonstration model having two separate valves with one lever bearing loaded by a spring. 3. DEAD WEIGHT SAFETY VALVE The valve resting on the seat the top of an outlet pipe are covered by a case carrying weights hanging freely from the valve. 4. COMBINED HEIGHT STEAM AND LOW WATER SAFETY VALVE safety valve blows off when the steam pressure exceeds the working pressure, this high steam to escape as water level falls too low. Mounted on a polished wooden board. 6. STOP VALVE HOPKINSON TYPE The type of model has many advantages over ordinary design of junction stop valves. The construction and the method of operating the complicated model can be easily demonstrated with this all metallic section cut model. 7. FEED CHECK VALVE All metallic section cut model. A good design of non return valve and arrangements for regulating by hand can be easily demonstrated with this all metallic section cut model. 8. STEAM INJECTOR This cutway demonstration model is to understand the system of feeding a boiler with water by direct use of steam. Showing water and steam inlet, overflow outlet. The central cut spindle carries valve and the upper
end with handle. The steam cone is actuated by rotating the handle. It is fitted on 45 cm high wooden board. 9. PRESSURE GAUGE Bourdon s type. Large size, open construction model for explaining the principle. Mounted on cast iron base with air nozzle. It is provide with transparent graduated dial to see the inner constructional details of the Bouron s tube. 10. PRESSURE GAUGE As above but of medium size 50 mm dia. 11. REDUCING VALVE The function of this valve is to maintain a constant reduced pressure on the engine side while the higher pressure on the boiler side may be variable. It is a large size section cut model, to make the students understand its working. 13. FUSIBLE PLUGS A set of three, section cut & properly constructed models mounted on polished wooden base. 14. ANTI PRIMING PIPE The model is complete with seating of junction valve. The perforated pipe is about 30 cm long and 4 cm in diameter. 15. EXPANSION STEAM TRAP In this system the advantage is taken of the expansion of materials on heating. The unit is all metallic, section cut, mounted on 40 cm high wooden board. 16. FLOAT STEAM TRAP This type is intended to separate water by a float which is raised when it accumulated in the trap, thus opening a valve and permitting water to escape. The model is all metallic, section cut and mounted on cast iron base. 17. GREEN ECONOMISER it is an all metallic demonstration model to understand the working of a feed water heater. The overall size is about 30x30x20 cm. 3. Cochran boiler This is the best known vertical type fire tube boiler. The shell is 25 cm. in dia. & 60 cm high. The cylindrical fire box is with a door & gate at it s bottom. Hot gasses pass from the fuel with the combustion chamber through the tubes. At both ends of the tubes covers are given & tubes can be cleaned after their removal. The model is complete with feed check valve, steam & water gauges, stop valve, safety valve & manhole. 4.
