HOMES AT DEER HILL PARK COMPONENTS The City is contributing $3 million of its parkland dedication fees to purchase roughly 10 acres of the Deer Hill property from the developer. The developer is required to build the entire park. If costs go over $3 million, the City and Developer will split the overage so it is to everyone s interest to stay on budget. Park components include: 1. All-Weather Artificial Turf Soccer/Lacrosse Field (180 by 300 ) 2. Fencing for Soccer/ Lacrosse Field 3. Main Parking Lot with lighting and landscaping 4. Sports Field drop-off circle 5. Playground 6. Two Restrooms with storage 7. ADA Accessible Walkway 8. Overlook at Big Oak 9. Dog Park The specific costs to build a playground along with supporting amenities are as follows: Playground $223,500 Playground Restroom: $137,750 Deck Overlook around Great Oak: $369,000 Main Parking Lot: $820,000 Accessible Walkway Allowance: $80,000 TOTAL: $1,630,250 ADDING A MAGICAL BRIDGE PLAYGROUND The Developer s Landscape Architect is willing to work with Magical Bridge Playground designer(s) to incorporate a Magical Bridge Playground. A concept plan is being worked on by Magical Bridge Playground Architect Peter Jensen. A very preliminary cost estimate for the Magical Bridge Playground is $1.5 million above the current cost estimate. The Lafayette Community Foundation is responsible for covering the additional cost.
