TRAFFIC ENGINEERING The best traffic engineering designs respect their surroundings the buildings, open space and highway/pedestrian/cycle routes that pass through an area they should not be seen in isolation or simply as a piece of infrastructure. We work with our clients and appointed technical design teams to understand their requirements and develop traffic engineering solutions from initial concept through to planning and construction. Our team ensure a flexible approach to the interpretation of guidance includes Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, the Manual for Streets, and local guidance documents issued by highway authorities. We provide solutions based on our experience, skills and local knowledge of potential issues whilst focusing on our clients needs. INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION Pegasus Group is able to develop site access proposals and internal road layouts from feasibility through to implementation stages. We ensure our clients objectives are achieved together with site requirement considerations to achieve planning approval and formalising through a Section 278 or Section 38 legal agreement. The team has extensive knowledge and experience of working with various Local Highway Authority s (LHA s) nationwide who often operate different processes. Our understanding of the technical approval process ensures we provide cost effective design solutions whilst complying with the technical requirements of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB), Manual for the Streets (MfS) and LHA. In undertaking a detailed design scheme, Pegasus Group provide: Negotiations with LHA to determine specific requirements and procedures Horizontal and vertical alignment design including 3D design Liaison with the Developer s design team, legal team and third-party stakeholders to ensure a co-ordinated design and assist in the development of the legal agreements Full set of drawings and specifications as required for technical approval and subsequently for tender and construction Organisation and management of Road Safety Audit process and producing a Designer s Response Advise on tenders received for highway schemes including alternative proposals Design input during construction and checking of the works to ensure compliance with the design Post completion processes required to obtain Completion Certificates and Bond release
