TIPS FOR SPECIFYING THE ESCAPE SEE-THROUGH 1. ROOM SIZE AND HEATING The Escape See-Through is a large fireplace with a high heat output (57,000+ BTUs), making it best-suited for large spaces that need supplemental warmth, including rooms with with expansive open floor plans. Add a Heat-Zone kit to help clients fine-tune the comfort of their space, by redirecting heat from the fireplace to another room in the home. 2. SIGHT LINES Ensure the fireplace view from both sides are strategically thought-out, particularly if one shared room is an intimate space such as a bathroom or a bedroom. 3. VENT RUN REQUIREMENTS Installations on interior walls will likely require a power vent system. Meet with your local hearth professional early in the process to ensure you are detailing this component of your hearth system correctly. For rules regarding vertical and horizontal venting limits and adding elbows, please consult the Escape See-Through installation manual. 4. SASS UP EACH SIDE DIFFERENTLY Use different mantels, stone surrounds, and wall material to infuse each side of the Escape See-Through with individual character.
MULTIPLE FIREPLACES When designing a luxury property, get the most out of your spaces by including multiple fireplaces. Brandi leveraged several Heat & Glo units throughout the home, each providing an eye catching design emphasis. THE TRUE SERIES GREAT ROOM Elegant but inviting, the living room is a highlight of the home with its two-story vaulted ceiling covered in on-trend shiplap and exposed wood beams. To match the spacious proportions, Brandi used the Heat & Glo TRUE 50 gas fireplace as a focal point. The TRUE features molded interior panels and high-definition ceramic logs, making it look like a true masonry fireplace. This style of fireplace is known as traditional realism gas fireplaces which pay homage to the look and feel of a wood burning fire. THE MEZZO SERIES MASTER SUITE (BEDROOM/BATH) The breathtaking master suite carries out the stone accent wall theme in this oasis of the property. Beyond an arched doorway is the serene master bathroom which features a cast concrete soaking tub, a herringbone tile floor and subtle touches of gold and black. The wall is accented by the MEZZO See-Through gas fireplace, making the rooms feel like a relaxing resort. A fireplace in the bedroom or bathroom adds a level of prestige to the space and is an option more home owners are requesting. Specifiers can follow Brandi s example and place these units at sitting eye level or mid-wall for a dramatic view of the fire.
