IMPORTANT: Damage to the appliance! In addition we offer the following safety advice. Location Do not use or keep this product outside when it is raining. Do not store the appliance near hot ovens or heating appliances. Mains lead Do not allow the mains lead to become strained or run this appliance over it. If the electrical cable becomes damaged the complete cable assembly must be replaced. Do not attempt this task yourself, contact Morphy Richards using the helpline number on the front of this leaflet. Children Children do not understand the dangers associated with operating electrical appliances. Never allow children to use this appliance. Other safety considerations Never use the appliance to vacuum hot ashes, broken glass, sharp objects or liquids. Never use in the presence of explosive liquids or vapours. Never pick up inflammable or poisonous liquids such as petrol, copier toner, or other volatile substances. Never pick up acids, asbestos or asbestos dust. Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply after use or prior to cleaning or replacing filters. The appliance should never be left running unsupervised. Use only genuine Morphy Richards spare parts and accessories. Quick start 1 Assemble the nozzle and hose as shown. 2 Unwind the cable to it s full length and plug in to the mains supply. 3 Switch on by pressing the on/off power switch. Dust disposal To obtain the best results from your cleaner be sure to check and empty the dust compartment regularly, otherwise the airflow and cleaning power of your cleaner will be reduced and you may damage your cleaner. 5 Clean the filter as described page 6. 6 Replace the filter into the dust compartment. 7 Replace the dust compartment by locating the tab on the dust compartment with the slots on the cleaner and click into position. 1 Ensure the cleaner is switched off and disconnected from the mains supply. 2 Press in the dust compartment release button and slide off the dust compartment at an angle. IMPORTANT All filters should be checked regularly for signs of damage, preferably after each cleaning task. The filters must be replaced immediately if they become damaged. 3 Pull out the filter as shown. Always disconnect the cleaner from the mains when checking filters or replacing dust compartment. Always make sure the dust compartment and filters are fitted before use. Failure to do so may result in damage to your product. 4 Empty the dust compartment into the bin. 5

Dust compartment filter Every time you empty the dust compartment the filter will require cleaning. This can be done by shaking it rigorously using the brush attachment. Take out the dust compartment filter by removing the dust compartment and then remove the filter. To maintain high suction the filter should also be washed regularly in warm water, but do not use detergent. Allow the filter to dry naturally and ensure it is totally dry before installing it back into the cleaner. A spare filter is provided. Exhaust filter The exhaust-filter must be cleaned regularly to remove the fine dust particles collected. This can be done by shaking it. The exhaust filter is located behind the exhaust filter cover. To remove, unscrew the cap and remove the cover. Pull out the cloth filter and clean or replace. Motor filter The motor filter must be cleaned regularly to remove the fine dust particles collected. This can be done by shaking it. The motor filter can be found by removing the dust compartment. Pull out the cloth filter and clean or replace. To replace, position the filter over the tabs as shown and replace the dust compartment. To replace, position the filter over the screw head, replace the filter cover and screw the cap back on. Care and maintenance Your cleaner is manufactured to withstand normal day-to-day use, but an occasional wipe over will help maintain its good looks. Abrasive cleaners should not be used. 6
