The Roles The Master Gardener PROGRAM and the Master Gardener FOUNDATION have different roles, but work together.
The Program Elaine Anderson is the WSU Extension Program Coordinator in King County
The Foundation The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors who are Master Gardeners elected by the Foundation s Master Gardener membership.
Foundation Finances How We Raise Funds for Program support: Plant sales Donations and the annual Year-End Appeal Training and educational seminars these are mostly self-supporting
Foundation Finances How We Spend Funds to support the Program: Clinics & Gardens (all furnishings, materials, handouts, garden supplies, etc.) Education programs for Master Gardeners and for the public Program Coordinator, Program Assistant salaries Office Expenses (postage, photocopying, printing, telephone, etc.)

Foundation Membership If you donate to the Master Gardener Program, you are already a Foundation Member. Membership in the Foundation is open to all King County Master Gardeners without charge. At the end of training, your name & email will be forwarded to the Foundation. Claim your free membership by registering at http://www.mgfkc.org from the Member Area link in the top nav bar.

How You Can Get Involved Use your skills as a leader or volunteer member on the Board or one of the Foundation s Committees: Clinics Gardens Education Finance Membership You do not have to be on the Board to serve on a committee. Monthly Board meetings are open, so come along to see what we are about.
