Just remove: the fryer lid, the extension sleeve (), the food basket (), the control box (), and the fryer bowl () from the outer enclosure () and pour out the oil from within the outer enclosure () (see Sec on - page ). FOR LARGE TURKEYS IN PARTICULAR, IT IS NORMAL TO HAVE A LIMITED AMOUNT OF OIL OVERFLOW INTO THE OUTER ENCLOSURE (). 9 REMOVE CONE 7
5 MAY STORE OIL IN FRYER DISHWASHER SAFE CLEANUP OR A er frying, you may choose to leave the oil in the fryer bowl () and put the lid () on top of the extension sleeve (). For other oil storage, and/or to filter the oil between uses to extend its life, return it to the container it came in using the included Hands-Free Collapsible Funnel (tm), with or without the Nonwashable Oil Filters (). Oil may be stored at room temperature. All fryer parts except the control box () and non-washable charcoal air filter in the lid () may be washed in a dishwasher or hand washed in a sink. Oil is too old when: it becomes dark in color, or it has an unpleasant odor, or it produces smoke, or it foams excessively. Using the Hands-Free Collapsible Funnel (TM) without an oil filter (), return the oil to its original container and dispose of it in the trash. OIL MUST BE COOLER THAN 0 F TO USE THE FUNNEL. Cooking turkeys which are marinated before frying, or cooking breaded foods may shorten the useful reusable life of cooking oil. 8 MAY STORE OIL IN ORIGINAL CONTAINER REMOVE AIR FILTER BEFORE WASHING LID DON T IMMERSE CONTROL BOX IN WATER RON S SKIN COLORING RECIPE / CUP SYRUP + / CUPS WATER = CUPS TOTAL OF SKIN COLORING Ron s Skin Coloring may be used to darken the skin of fried turkeys. 0 RON S SKIN COLORING RECIPE - CONTINUED Mix / cup of NON-DIET pancake syrup with / cups of water. A er the turkey has been li ed out of the hot oil in Step cooking, use the remaining / cup of skin coloring to re-coat and re-rinse any outer surfaces which weren t cooked during cooking Step. Then cook in Step as usual STEAMER EXPLODED 77, 8, & 8 ARE INSIDE. 80 REMOVE THE FILTER, BASKET MOUNT AND EXTENSION SLEEVE STEAMER 8 8 STEAMER NESTS IN STORAGE USING THE STEAMER The Olive Oil Fryer is the most powerful household food steamer you can buy. To install the Steamer, remove the carbon filter holder () from the lid (). Also remove the food basket () and safety extension sleeve () from the fryer. The sleeve () may be stored, telescoped over the outside of fryer bowl (), both inside the outer enclosure (), during steaming. Drop the steamer base (77) into the filter holder indent (78) in the lid (). Then stack on top of the steamer base (77): the bo om steamer tray (79) and the steamer lid (80), or the bo om steamer tray (79), the middle steamer tray and the steamer lid (80), or the bo om steamer tray (79), the middle steamer tray (8), the top steamer tray (8) and the steamer lid (80). Both the middle steamer tray (8) and the top steamer tray can fit removable tray floors (8)
6 con nued from USING THE STEAMER Removing tray floors (8) allows for ver cal steaming of long items like: king crab legs, large ears of corn, and foot long hotdogs. To steam foods, fill the fryer bowl () with water to the fill line () (sec on, page ). Set the mer (0) to minutes, and thermostat () to 8 F. Load the trays with food. Wait for the water to boil, and then, using the protec ve gloves, place the trays (79) (8) & (8) and steamer lid (80) on top of the steamer base (77), and set the mer (0) according to the recipe direc ons.
