10 About consumable parts About Ion Exchange Filter White Powder in the mist may be deposited at the surrounding objects. These white powder are calcium and magnesium found in ordinary tap water. Although they are not harmful to human, they may caused adverse effect when adhere to the surface of furniture in large quantity. By means of ion exchange filter, calcium and magnesium from the tap water are removed and in turn reduced the production of white powder. Ion exchange filter (removable type, installed at the bottom of water tank) may stain the water in the trough to the color of tea at the beginning of operation. This has no effect on safety or its performance. However, you can pour out the water if you wish and continue operation. filter replacement The useful life of the ion exchange filter is about 400 liters. Continual use after its lifetime will lower its capability to remove the hardness components (calcium and magnesium) in tap water. As a result, there will be increasing built-up of white powder. The standard period of filter change is about 180 days under automatic mode of operation (heating humidifying operation time of about 6 hours every day). Based on different frequency of use and quality of water, the timefor filter change may be shorten. Please pay attention to thebuilt-up of white powder. Ion exchange filter is installed at the bottom of water tank.when you exchange the filter, you should take away the cover by counterclockwise, then move the filter by counter-clockwise.now you can install the filter by clockwise according to right picture.last you can put the cover and exchange filter at the bottom of water tank by clockwise. Please contact distributor or authorized service center in case you need to purchase ion exchange filter. Ion exchange filter 10
