It can be implemented in any LTG device type with optimized air distributors. The above chart shows the areas of application of different flow forms that are essentially defined by thermal comfort. The ideal flow shape for the project-specific parameter cooling output and supply air flow rate can be implemented with different LTG air-water systems then. The ideal flow form is selected depending on required cooling output and fresh air volume. For this, the air nozzles are opened and the cold water valves are controlled. This ensures best comfort, acoustics and energy efficiency for any load case with a single device. Manual (different room use) or automatic (occupancy or CO2-controlled) regulation is possible. In contrast to conventional induction technology, this permits adjustment of cooling output and fresh air supply to the specific requirements. The extent to which the room is cooled is limited to ensure thermal comfort in the accessible area. A high cooling capacity means high volume flows and low supplied air temperatures at the unit s air outlet. This often results in draughts and discomfort. However, by getting away from the assumption of continuous, stationary air flows, we can make further optimisations possible. Thermal comfort can be increased considerably by using a pulsed flow, eddies that transport cold air along the ceiling, or through the cyclical introduction of supplied air. 9 Induction Units Induction Induction Units Induction Technology - Comfortable and Efficient LTG induction units have been developed further continually since the first patent was registered by founder Dr. Albert Klein for an induction plant in The Induction Principle Air flowing through a nozzle forms a free jet. It induces the surrounding air layer along at its edges and thus enlarges the flowing air volume. This induction takes place within the induction device. A special construction entrains room air (secondary air) through a heat exchanger, where it is cooled or heated. Together with the fresh air (primary air) the supply air then returns to the room for a comfortable climate. LTG induction units of the latest generation are energy-efficient and can be operated and demandcontrolled with LTG SmartFlow technology. This pulsed, decentralized ventilation unit meets the aesthetic demands of architects as well as the wishes of planners, investors and operators: high indoor air quality coupled with outstanding efficiency and minimum space requirements. The FVPpulse pulsed facade-mounted ventilation unit reproduces the natural movement of the air and allows buildings to breathe. Unlike conventional facade-mounted ventilation units, FVPpulse uses a shared air duct for both the supplied and waste air, a single facade opening and only one fan. Thanks to a system of dampers, it switches between the intake and outlet functions without causing any airstream short-circuits. This nonstationary ventilation results in the thorough mixing of the air in the room at low air velocities and high air volumes and consequently ensures an agreeable room climate.
