Avoid contact with moving parts. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plug or any part of this appliance in water or other liquids. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before removing parts and before cleaning. DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, nor if the appliance has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest repair shop for examination or repair. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled or tripping over a long cord. Longer detachable power supply cords can be used if care is exercised in their use. The marked electrical rating of an extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). The simple pleasure of gooey marshmallow, chocolate and graham crackers can be yours without the hassle of building a bonfire, not to mention pesky mosquitoes! 8 HOW TO OPERATE Place the S'MORES MAKER on a flat, stable surface near an electrical outlet before starting. Always make sure that the cord is away from any water source. Plug the appliance into an electrical socket. The Power Light will come on. Keep about a foot of space around the unit to make sure that there is proper ventilation. Slide Skewer Handles onto two Bamboo Skewers. Place up to four marshmallows each on the two Bamboo Skewers and insert skewers into the Skewer Holders, making sure that the pointed ends are properly inserted into the Skewer Rotators. Set Timer. It is recommended that you set the Timer all the way to 2 minutes. Bamboo Skewers will continue to rotate while marshmallows roast. When cooking has completed, the Timer will ding. To shorten the cooking time, simply turn the Timer to a shorter setting. If you wish to roast marshmallows for a longer period of time after full 2 minutes has completed, simply set Timer again before removing Bamboo Skewers. Be careful to not burn the marshmallows. To stop cooking before cycle has completed, turn Timer to 0. Remove Bamboo Skewers and use roasted marshmallows to make s'mores. CAUTION: After two to three 2-minute cycles, the Power Light will shut off and Heating Element will stop working. The Skewer Rotators will continue to turn. This is designed to prevent marshmallows from burning, as heat continues to build up in the unit during roasting. If the Heating Element shuts off, allow unit to cool for up to four minutes before continuing use. You may also unplug the appliance and allow unit to cool completely between cooking sessions and when finished. After unit is cool to the touch, remove the Drip Tray and follow directions in Cleaning and Maintenance section to clean unit. Return Drip Tray to the OLD FASHIONED S'MORES MAKER after cleaning and store in a safe place until next use. 9 ENGLISH HELPFUL TIPS MARSHMALLOWS The OLD FASHIONED S'MORES MAKER is designed to use only up to four giant marshmallows per Bamboo Skewer at a time. DO NOT overfill Bamboo Skewers, as marshmallows expand during cooking and they may not rotate properly. Packaged marshmallows tend to become misshapen. For proper rotation, it is best to mold marshmallows back into cylindrical shape before sliding onto Bamboo Skewers for cooking. If marshmallows begin to drip or drag on Drip Tray, turn machine off and allow to cool, then move marshmallows on Bamboo Skewers to ensure proper rotation. Remove any dripping marshmallows to make sure that they do not burn. BURNING/SMOKING If the machine is burning or smoking during cooking, turn Timer to 0 to end the cooking cycle. After machine has cooled completely, remove the marshmallows. Smoking may also be caused by marshmallow drippings stuck to the Drip Tray. To prevent smoking, make sure to clean the Drip Tray after each use. CLEANING & MAINTENANCE Make sure the unit is unplugged before cleaning. Allow all parts to COOL to the touch, especially the Drip Tray. To prolong the life of your OLD FASHIONED S'MORES MAKER, please follow these simple instructions for maintenance. Never place the appliance in a dishwasher. Lift the OLD FASHIONED S'MORES MAKER by the Base only. Once appliance has cooled, remove the Drip Tray from the Base. Clean outer surface of the OLD FASHIONED S'MORES MAKER with a soft, damp cloth and only when it is unplugged and completely cooled. DO NOT drip water into the top of the unit, as this is where the heating element is located. Use warm, soapy water to clean the Drip Tray. Rinse and dry. Wrap cord and store OLD FASHIONED S'MORES MAKER. Make sure the appliance has completely cooled and is dry before storing. DO NOT put more than four marshmallows on the Bamboo Skewers at a time, as marshmallows swell when cooking. Never use the OLD FASHIONED S'MORES MAKER without the Drip Tray in place. Always make sure that Drip Tray is cleaned in between uses if marshmallow drips onto it to prevent burning. 7

10 RECIPES How to make the perfect s'mores: Prepare marshmallows and set Timer to roast following directions in How to Operate section. While marshmallows are roasting, take graham crackers and break into halves. Break milk chocolate bars into squares and place one square onto each graham cracker half. When marshmallows are done, place one roasted marshmallow on top of chocolate square and top with a graham cracker half. Enjoy your delicious s'mores! ENGLISH Try these fun tips: Use other types of chocolate, such as mint chocolate bars, white chocolate, chocolate bars with nuts to add crunch, chocolate with caramel, etc. Instead of traditional graham crackers, try using cinnamon and sugar graham crackers, shortbread cookies, brownies and more! Try flavored marshmallows Or, use these recipes: DREAMY CREMÉ CROISSANWICH Large, White Roast marshmallows using OLD FASHIONED Marshmallows S'MORES MAKER as directed on page 6. Nutella Spread Croissants, Sliced in Half Lengthwise While marshmallows are roasting, slice croissants in half lengthwise and place halves in toaster oven until lightly browned and slightly crispy on the outside. Spread Nutella on each croissant half. Place roasted marshmallows on one half of each toasted croissant and place other croissant half on top to make sandwiches. Serve while warm. 8

11 ENGLISH ROASTED STRAWBERRY-BANANA FLUFFERNUTTER SANDWICH Large, Strawberry Roast marshmallows using OLD FASHIONED Marshmallows Peanut Butter S'MORES MAKER as directed on page 6. While marshmallows are roasting, toast Slices of Bread bread slices until lightly browned and (white bread slightly crispy on the outside. preferred) Banana, Sliced Spread peanut butter on each slice of bread. Place slices of banana on top of peanut butter. Place roasted marshmallows on one half of bread and place another slice of bread on top to make sandwiches. Serve while warm. CHOCOLATE CHERRY DELIGHT Chocolate Brownies, Cut in Squares Cherry Preserves Large, White Marshmallows Chocolate Sauce Roast marshmallows using OLD FASHIONED S'MORES MAKER as directed on page 6. Heat cherry preserves over stove until slightly bubbly. Turn down heat. Place brownies on plates, one on each plate, depending on how many you are serving. Make sure brownies are warm. You may bake brownies or heat store bought brownies. Spoon warm cherry preserves on top of brownies. Place two large, roasted marshmallows on each brownie. Drizzle brownies with chocolate sauce in zig-zag formation. Serve while warm. BAKED YAMS & MARSHMALLOWS Large White Marshmallows Yams, Sliced in Half Lengthwise Butter Cinnamon, Nutmeg & Brown Sugar to Taste Preheat oven to 350º. Place sliced yams, cleaned with skins still on, on nonstick cookie sheet. Place pats of butter on yams and sprinkle generously with sugar and spices. Bake yams until soft, then mash the insides, leaving skin intact Roast marshmallows using OLD FASHIONED S'MORES MAKER as directed on page 6. Place roasted marshmallows on yams and serve. 9
