3 Water Chiller Climate Control How Does It Work? The CD20KW gives total flexibility to various type of installation. It is ideal for either New Build or Retro Fit installations and unlike any other unit of this size on the market uses only single phase electricity. By utilising twin compressors and a "smart" control system, the system will only use one compressor until the demand requires that the second one comes on-line. This ensures both low running costs and the ability to work within 230 volts alternating currrent. Free Hot Water? Air conditioners traditionally remove the heat from inside the building by transferring the heat to an inert gas and then radiating the heat to the outside. Whilst this system is efficient in terms of cooling the building, part of the cost of running air conditioning units is used to "throw" that heat away. Cooling Direct have developed the new CD20KW to use that heat and by passing it through a highly efficient plate heat exchanger, transfers that heat to a separate system that is connected to the hot water supply in the storage tank or directly to the hot water system (like a combi boiler). This allows the storage tank to be maintained at a minimum of 60o centigrade, more then enough to ensure constant hot water for showers, baths or washing. Therefore whilst the system is running in either heating or cooling mode, FREE* hot water is being supplied to the storage tank. Another use could be to heat a swimming pool or Jacuzi directly from the CD20KW, by supplying the hot water feed directly to the installed system. The CD20KW can be used all year round for total climate control to supply either heating or cooling to the building, with each room individually controlled via it's own remote control. This ensures that each segment of the building is maintained at a temperature suited for its use, one temperature for the lounge and totally separate temperatures for the bedrooms. The CD20KW therefore give total flexibility and ensures that the building is maintained at comfort levels throughout with no wasted heating or cooling in areas where it is not required and with the addition of hot water is ensuring the best return on investment and being environmentally friendly.
