Our high-quality modulating thermostat, with its protective housing for the temperature probe, regulates the flow of natural gas to the burner so the water temperature doesn t fluctuate when operators at the remote wash stations trigger off and on the flow of water. MODULTING THERMOSTT IN 6-8 GPM MODELS How the VNG is Efficient and Environmentally Safe The VNG s high-efficiency burner, with Robertshaw millivolt ignition, ensures that it is fuel efficient. With natural gas you have a constant supply of fuel so there s no downtime for refueling. Moreover, natural gas is affordable and burns cleanly so it can be installed indoors and vented outdoors for convenience in hot-water washing everything from floors, walls, trays and shelves to food processing machinery and other indoor/outdoor equipment. How the VNG Is So Versatile While the VNG is stationary, remote operating stations can be linked to the main unit creating a network of up to four cleaning stations as far away as,000 feet. Each station is independently plumbed and wired so you don t have to return to the pressure washer itself to turn on or off the burner, pump or detergent valve. While others have tried to copy the VNG, there is no other stationary, natural gas-heated, hot water pressure washer with so much quality, safety and functionality. PGE 3...WITH MODULTING THERMOSTT How the VNG is... uilt to Last Oil-bath, three-piston (triplex) high pressure pump with die cast aluminum crankcase, forged brass head, extra-high quality packings, hydrolysis-resistant valves, tapered roller bearings and copper-plated piston guide. The Landa Pump runs LND PUMP 0%-7% slower than other comparable pumps, has a 40% stronger tensile strength in the manifold and is backed by a 5-year warranty. enefit: Reliability is the key for all moving parts of equipment and nothing sees as much action as the high-pressure pump. Slower RPM equate to longer pump life and quieter operation. Top-quality components and aggressive warranty also give the customer confidence of having the best. Two Landa Pump models are used in the VNG series, including the beefy LX Pump used in the 8 and 0 GPM models. [] Two-olt djustment Rail ELT DRIVE SSEMLY Two V-groove belts (three belts are used on the 5 and 0 HP models) connect the motor to the pump. Pulleys are bushed bore, made of cast iron. elt tension can be adjusted simply by loosening two easy-to-access bolts and sliding the pump on a rail assembly. enefit: esides absorbing vibration, the belt drive allows the pump to turn at a slower RPM thus extending the life of the pressure washer s two most important and costly components, the motor and pump. V-groove belts, which are notched and cogged, run cooler and provide a better grip for efficient performance and long life. The pulleys are made of the highest quality for years of maintenance-free service. [] The two-bolt adjustment rail is easy to reach and quick to tighten making maintenance easy and keeping service labor costs to a minimum. Vibration Isolators VIRTION CUSHIONED The 4 motor and pump, the two components that create the most vibration in a pressure washer, are attached to a rugged, steel platform made of 3/6-inch steel. The platform is mounted on seven vibration isolators attached to the floor of the main cabinet. enefit: The vibration-absorbing power platform provides fatigue resistance by preventing the motor-pump vibration from spreading throughout the pressure washer cabinet and shaking loose nuts, bolts and electrical wiring, thus minimizing maintenance on the motor and pump as well as the rest of the components. Custom 5 designed burner manifold is made of /4-inch, heavy wall steel tubing with 46 brass jets (98 jets on the 6-0 GPM models). enefit: The VNG burner has been designed for maximum heat efficiency by precisely angling the burner jets so URNER SSEMLY each flame crosses another flame. This promotes the proper draft needed to promote an optimum fuel to air ratio for high-efficiency combustion. 6 Industrial-strength aldor motor with multiple voltage options and thermal overload protection. Motors range from 6 to 0 HP, depending on the model. enefit: Industrial-duty motor holds up under hours of LDOR MOTOR constant usage. The multiple voltage options mean customers do not have to bring in additional power to operate the equipment. VNG models are available in 30V ph or 3ph, 08V ph or 3ph, 460V 3ph, and 575V 3ph. The thermal overload switch shuts down the motor due to overheating thus protecting the owner s investment. FITTINGS Many fittings are JIC (Joint 3 Industrial Council) and all are made of either brass or stainless steel. enefit: Fittings are rustfree. JIC fittings are easy to connect and disconnect and are rated for withstanding high pressures. GS VLVE WITH ELECTRONIC IGNITION 7 Industrial-grade Robertshaw gas valve with electronic ignition as a standard feature. enefit: High quality gas valve means a reliable performance and less maintenance. Gaskets on removable panels absorbs vibration VENTILTED STEEL CINET for a quieter operation. It is totally covered by a weatherresistant epoxy powder coat finish that lasts longer than paint. The heating coil is made of 9 /-inch (3/4-inch for 6-0 GPM), coldrolled, Schedule 80 pipe and is backed by a 5-year limited warranty. It is surrounded by an aluminized steel wrap, which is covered with a -inch layer of insulation. painted steel outer wrap offers additional protection and is capped HETING COIL with a circular lid and chimney. enefit: LND s Duracoil is the most rugged of the pressure washer hot water coils. Cold-rolled pipe has fewer leaks than coils that are heated when formed. Insulation retains the heat for energy efficiency and the aluminized steel wrap withstands heat and corrosion better than regular steel. luminized steel is used in automobile mufflers, furnaces, ovens and gas-fired heaters where there is a high incidence of heat and moisture. Studies show that aluminized steel oxidizes at only 5% of the rate of carbon steel. luminized steel also reflects about 80% of incident radiant heat up to 900 degrees F. This makes it especially ideal for the pressure washer heating coil application because less fuel is required to maintain the operating temperature plus it heats up faster. The aluminized steel wrap also has a tendency to direct the heat to where it is needed while providing the added benefit of strength.the outer wrap provides an extra layer of protection and heat efficiency while the cylinder lid is easy to remove for convenience in servicing or replacing the coil. 0 The VNG is manufactured in a REGISTERED factory that has been certified to the ISO- 900:000, an internationally Performance recognized certification for Certified quality in manufacturing. The Landa Pump is backed by a comprehensive 5-year QULITY SUPPORTED warranty on the oil end of the pump and a lifetime warranty on the brass manifold. The VNG cabinet is backed by Landa s limited lifetime warranty and the entire machine is backed by a limited one-year warranty. lso, the VNG meets the performance standards established by the Cleaning Equipment Trade ssociation (CET). enefit: Customers have the assurance they are making a safe investment in quality and can operate the equipment with confidence that it will hold up for years with minimal maintenance. Dual, low-turbulence float valves are located in 3.5-gallon polyethylene float tank with stainless steel inlet filter. enefit: The float tank allows detergent to be injected into the water stream before it FLOTS ND FLOT TNK goes through the pump so the operator can wash with soap using a high-pressure spray. The extra-large float tank is non-corrosive and, with dual float valves, insures adequate flow of water volume through the pressure washer. The backflow prevention system assures the customer that soapy water will not flow back into the water supply. The float tank is positioned above the pump ensuring an adequate water supply is constantly gravity flowing to the pump thus preventing cavitation and a loss of pressure. Why the VNG is... Safe to Use The VNG has been certified by ETL laboratories to the rigid UL-776 safety standards for pressure washers, including equipment heated by natural gas and/or propane (LP gas). enefit: Customers have the SFETY CERTIFIED assurance they are investing in equipment that will not only last long but will be safe for them and others to use, minimizing their personal and liability risk. Remember, federal OSH regulations require safety certified electrical equipment or faces fines of up to $0,000.UL-776 safety standards include: thermal overload protection on motors to prevent risk of fire; all electrical components must undergo a test for current leakage to avoid electrical shortages; wands must be at least 36 inches in length to prevent operators from accidentally spraying themselves; no quick couples between the gun and wand to prevent attaching a nozzle directly into the gun; a trigger gun for quick-release control by the operator; a hose guard of at least 4 inches to protect the operator against a possible hose burst; high-limit switch to automatically shut down the burner on hot water models should the water overheat; and a rupture disk to protect against excessive build up of pressure in the system. HIGH LIMIT SWITCH The high limit switch [] is located near the adjustable thermostat probe [] on the outlet pipe near where the high-pressure hose couples onto the VNG. enefit: The high limit switch senses when the water has exceeded acceptable levels and automatically turns off the burner to prevent harm to the operator or an excessive build up of pressure.

PGE 5...WITH MODULTING THERMOSTT Heavyduty 0V step- 3 down transformer. enefit: The stepdown transformer converts 30V or 460V to 0V for operator protection against high LOW VOLTGE PROTECTION voltage at the control switch. The VNG also has a heavyduty magnetic contactor that is protected from amp overload. The 5 unloader [] is an adjustable, pressure trapping valve attached to the pump. It is the mechanism that automatically releases the sudden build up of pressure that is caused when the operator releases the trigger on the gun and stops the UNLODER VLVE flow of water. When the flow is stopped, the unloader senses the build up of pressure and automatically blocks the water from the spigot and reroutes the water in the pump through a side hose and back into the pump.this recycling of the water continues until the trigger is pulled again, signally the unloader to send the water down the hose again and open the flow from the spigot or water supply. For hot water models, like the VNG, the unloader also has a flow-activated shut-off switch [] which shuts down the fuel to the burner when the trigger gun is released. enefit: The unloader makes it possible to enjoy the convenience of a trigger gun while cleaning with a pressure washer without having to stop and start the machine each time.the flow-activated shut-off switch prevents the burner from overheating the water when the water flow has been stopped during the washing operation, thus protecting the operator from harm due to a build up of both pressure and heat. HET CONTROL 6 4 The float tank provides backflow prevention. enefit: Many city codes require an air gap between the water tank and the inlet supply. The float tank provides the NTI-SIPHON MECHNISM needed buffer preventing cleaning or soapy water from backing into the water supply, such as the spigot or water tank. The float tank is positioned above the pump ensuring an adequate water supply is constantly gravity flowing to the pump thus preventing cavitation and a loss of pressure. ll VNG models feature an adjustable thermostat on the control panel. enefit: The easily accessible thermostat, adjustable up to 00 F, allows the operator to match the temperature to the job and to prevent overheating. The rupture disk is located 7 on the pipe coming out of the heating coil (upper discharge side) and is connected to a pressure relief hose. enefit: It senses when the pressure in the system has exceeded acceptable levels and RUPTURE DISK immediately the replaceable diaphragm gives way allowing pressure to escape through a relief hose. This protects the operator from a potential hot water rupture in the plumbing or hose. The rupture disk has been proven to be the most effective protection against pressure build up, more reliable than pop off and pressure relief valves in the hot water environment. The thermal 8 pump protector is attached to the inlet side of the high-pressure pump and monitors the water temperature as it passes through the pump. It opens a valve to dump hot water if the water temperature rises above an acceptable THERML PUMP PROTECTOR level during bypass mode. enefit: This protects the pump from being damaged by hot water. The water temperature can build up when the water constantly recycles out and back into the pump. This occurs when the operator leaves the pressure washer running for a long period of time without opening the trigger gun to release the water. ll 9 operating instructions and warning labels are in English, French and Spanish.The labels are printed on TRI-LINGUL LELS lexan. enefit: s mandated by UL-776, this feature provides the owner with some peace of mind, if not liability protection, knowing that most any operator has instructions and warnings easily available prior to using. The lexan labels have an additional protective coating capable of withstanding all weather conditions, including UV or sunlight. 4 HOSE GURD HOSE GURD PROTECTION 0 Tuff-Skin hoses are characterized by two, durable PVC sleeves on each end of the hose. On the end that attaches to the gun and wand, there is a 4-inch sleeve or hose guard and an 8-inch sleeve on the end that attaches to the pressure washer. enefit: oth hose guards provide operator protection against a high-pressure burst. The 4-inch sleeve meets the UL-776 safety standard for additional owner liability protection.

Easy to Service There are several ways to access the VNG cabinet. ll four side panels can be removed with a simple turn of a latch using a hex key tool that comes with the equipment. lso, access windows are found in the front and the back panels for accessing the pulley and belt assembly [] and the CCESS PNELS burner assembly [] (6-0 GPM models only). enefit: Panels are conveniently located for getting to the key components quickly so there is minimal disassembly to make adjustment or repairs to these components. Service technicians appreciate the easy access, especially because stationary units like the VNG are often located close to a wall or in a corner. The access windows avoid having to remove the entire panel to reach key components. Simple twist of a latch using a hex key tool that comes with the equipment allows for quick and easy removal of the four large side panels. JIC (Joint Industrial Council) fittings are used for coupling major components, such as the pump and unloader. JIC fittings, with a flared end, are quick to remove and create a seal without the use JIC FITTINGS of tape. enefit: JIC fittings are preferred because they are secure yet are easy to connect and disconnect, especially in those tight working areas so common in pressure washers. The easier the coupling, the faster the job. Reduced service time means reduced labor costs. JIC fittings make bypassing an unloader a breeze. The beltdrive pump is 3 mounted on a U- shaped rail so the belt tension can be adjusted simply by loosening or tightening two bolts below the pump. enefit: This is for the convenience a technician who, DJUSTLE ELT TENSION without the adjustable rails, would have to tug and pull on the pulleys to tighten the belt tension. elt tension needs to be regularly tightened so the pump operates at optimum performance levels. 4 Electrical wiring and controls are located in a water-resistant box easily accessed once the front-right side panel is removed. The control box cover is lifted off after removing 4 screws. ELECTRICL OX enefit: ccessing the electrical box is easy, minimizing the time it will take a technician to reach the electrical controls. It is laid out in plain view adding to the convenience for a technician to service. wiring diagram is enclosed in each control box. The gas 5 valve is elevated along side the heating coil and above the modulating thermostat (8 and 0 GPM models). enefit: The gas valve often is up against a wall or tucked away under equipment. With it elevated and easy to access makes servicing quick and less ELEVTED GS VLVE costly. More importantly, by elevating the gas valve above the burner and to the side of the coil prevents condensation from the coil or even rain from getting into and damaging the gas valve. HOUR METER Every 6 VNG model has an hour meter located on the control panel. enefit: The hour meter tracks the time in operation helping both the operator and technician determine when servicing is needed in order to prevent downtime due to lack of maintenance.

Functional djustment Valve MODULTING THERMOSTT modulating thermostat comes standard on all VNG models with flow rates of 6 and 8 GPM. It is located in the rear of the cabinet directly below the gas valve. It is a high-quality Kimray thermostat featuring a galvanized protective tube around the temperature probe. enefit: The VNG s multiple gun option can create problems in maintaining consistent water temperature. s one operator releases the trigger gun it can create a spike in the temperature prompting the conventional thermostat to shut off the gas altogether. The constant off-on cycling can wear on the equipment. On the other hand, the modulating thermostat monitors the temperature and adjusts the gas flow accordingly, maintaining a constant water temperature. single-handle valve (arrow) further adjusts the water temperature. Our modulating thermostat features a design in which the temperature probe [] is completely enclosed in a Thermostat probe & housing galvanized tube [] or housing so it never comes in direct contact with the water flow. While it still measures the water temperature accurately it is not exposed to the risk of damage from overpressurization or freezing. djustable valve on the front of the cabinet can be turned to inject more or less detergent, which can be injected while cleaning in high pressure mode. enefit: The ability to adjust DETERGENT METERING VLVE the flow of detergent gives the operator more control of the washing effectiveness as well as conserve cleaning agents.the metering valve is located on the front of the cabinet for operator convenience. The timedelay feature is 3 standard on the VNG. It automatically shuts down the pressure washer after a predetermined time (usually minutes) should it be left running with the trigger gun closed. TIME-DELY SHUTDOWN enefit: This safety feature gives the owner peace of mind that his/her investment will not be damaged by a careless operator who stops washing and walks off the job without shutting down the equipment. If the pressure washer were to continue running without being used there could be a build up of heat in the pump, to say nothing of the wasted energy. CONSOLIDTED PLUMING oth the 4 quick-couple outlet [] for the high pressure hose and the water supply inlet [], with a /-inch strainer for protection against debris, are located on the same panel. enefit: This makes servicing easy and allows the other side of the cabinet to be installed against a wall. The 5 variable pressure wand is 40 inches long and consists of two stainless steel tubes or pipes, which are adjoined and insulated. n easy-grip handle is mounted in the middle of the wand that, when twisted, increases or decreases the pressure. For high pressure, VRILE PRESSURE WND all of the water stays in the main pipe and is forced through the nozzle that is quick-coupled at the end of the wand. For low pressure, the water is diverted to the second pipe and lightly sprays out the end. This reduces the flow volume in the main pipe thus reducing the pressure of the main water stream. durable, plastic hood or nozzle covering is mounted at the end of the wand. enefit: Having adjustable spray at the point of the wand helps adjust the force to the job at hand. It also allows the operator to control the flow of detergent at the point of the wand when a downstream detergent injector is attached. The wand handle is turned to create a low-pressure flow, which immediately begins suctioning detergent into the spray. Then, with the twist of the handle, clean water comes out again as a high-pressure spray. The wand length prevents an operator from spraying him/herself. The easy-grip handle is mounted at the right angle for hours of fatigue-free spraying. The plastic hood protects the nozzle and helps protect the object being washed from being bumped or scratched by the wand. Landa s 6 two-wire, Tuff-Skin hose is the toughest high pressure hose in the industry. When tested to 6945/DIN004, the Tuff-Skin has proven to be seven times more abrasion resistant than standard pressure washer hoses yet is 0% more flexible. It has a unique braid design and has been engineered for a greater TUFF-SKIN HOSE continuous temperature range from 40 to 75 F / 30 F intermittent and for handling pressures of up to 5800 PSI. The Tuff-Skin hose is used by all VNG models and has maximum strength Class ORS (Oil Resistance Standard) and features a bite-the-wire coupler that grips the hose better than any other design. The VNG hose is 50 feet in length. enefit: ecause of its abrasion resistance as well as flexibility, the Tuff-Skin holds up better than any other hose in outdoor pressure washer environments where hoses typically get whipped, twisted, yanked and even run over. The maximum strength Class rating means it will hold up to oils, grease and fats as compared to the more commonly used Class. The 50-ft. hose gives the operator plenty of slack to clean freely without feeling encumbered by the pressure washer.

PGE 8...WITH MODULTING THERMOSTT swivel 7 crimp fitting is located between the hose and the gun. enefit: The swivel makes it easy to connect the gun to the hose. How the VNG is... Option daptable SWIVEL CRIMP FITTING Nozzles 8 are what create the pressure or cleaning power of the pressure washer. The pump puts a large volume of water down the pipe quickly, but it s the tiny orifice of the nozzle that translates that flow volume into high pressure. Four colorcoded, hardened stainless steel, HIGH-PRESSURE NOZZLES high-pressure nozzles are mounted on the control panel at the front of the pressure washer cabinet. They are attached to the end of the wand with a quick coupling. The colors designate the spray patterns created by each nozzle: Red=0, Yellow=5, Green=5 and White=40. enefit: The hardened stainless steel means the nozzles will hold up well without rusting or disintegrating during months of regular operation. The nozzles are mounted on the front panel for easy access. They quick-couple to the end of the wand for convenience in switching nozzles while washing (however, DO NOT change nozzles while spraying). The colors allow the operator to identify quickly the flow patterns available. Having a variety of flow patterns from the narrow, focused 0 stream to the broad 40 spray gives the operator plenty of options to meet whatever cleaning task is at hand from blasting concrete or metal to washing down wood or asphalt. PLT I NUM SE RIES P R E S S U R E W S H E R S The VNG can be plumbed and wired to support up to four remote wash stations as far away as,000 feet away from the main unit. While all stations are fed by the pressure washer, each station is independently wired with a remote control box allowing the operator to turn on the pump, burner and detergent injection at the wash station. (Note: the main unit must be turned on once at the beginning of the day for the remote stations to work.) enefit: Using remote stations is like having several pressure washers for the price of one. ecause each station is independently controlled, the operator does not have to return to the main unit each time to turn on the pump, burner and detergent injection system. VNG REMOTE WSH STTIONS C D E CONTROL PNEL G I J ll controls are convenient- 9 ly grouped on the front of panel of the VNG cabinet. enefit: The easy-access control panel has a variety of features that enhance the operation and maintenance of the VNG, such as: [] a pressure gauge, that is filled with silicon for steady readings, used to indicate the operating pressure a quick way to determine if service is needed; [] an adjustable thermostat for altering the water temperature to meet the cleaning job; [C] a detergent valve for adjusting the amount of detergent being injected into the spray; [D] a steam valve that allows the operator to change the spray from high pressure hot water to low pressure wet steam; [E] easy-to-find operating instructions in English, Spanish and French; [F] an hour meter for monitoring the time of usage, helpful in determining when maintenance is needed; [G] color-coded, industrial-grade, pump on-off switches for convenience in starting the unit; [H] toggle switch for turning on-off the burner, including lighting the burner by means of the electronic ignition; [I] monitor lights indicating when the burner (voltage) and the pump are operational; [J] four easy-to-reach, color-coded, high-pressure nozzles conveniently mounted for quick access when you need to change spray patterns. F H Galvanized steel draft diverter is attached to the end of the vent pipe from the VNG and is designed to prevent outside air from entering the vent pipe or flue, yet allows DRFT DIVERTER the burner exhaust to be vented to the outdoors. enefit: y preventing outside air from entering the vent pipe, the draft diverter eliminates the risk of cold air flowing into the pressure washer and freezing the coil or other components. LP CONVERSION 3 This kit allows LP gas fuel to be used instead of natural gas (tank not included). enefit: ccommodates customers who have LP more readily available than natural gas.
