An especially high efficiency of the total system, as well as additional benefits are possible by a combination with the Europa Series, especially developed for hot-water heating. The ECO-tank with its additional E-rod 2.5 kw allows hot-water heating with an NL-factor = 1.0 When using individual room control or variable flow rates for the heat use system, the package with the buffer tank is absolutely necessary.

The Unifresh -tank can, depending on the size and temperature, cover a fresh water output of UNI NL=2.5, and UNI NL=1.0 respectively when being used as a Combi-buffer tank. GENERAL INFORMATION: The heat pump is to be sized according to the heat load at standard outside temperature and heat pump standard operating point, including all black-out periods which may occur. The maximum recommended sizing temperature of the heating system is dependent on the type of heat pump to be installed. Sizing of the hydraulics The corresponding specified nominal flow rates are to be ensured both on the heat source, as well as on the heat use side. The individual pressure losses specified in the accessories section and the residual pressure head respectively are to be taken into account when sizing the hydraulic connection pipework. When using additional components, their individual resistances are to be taken into account. Heat pump selection The heat pump selection should always be for a max. of 1,800 annual hours of operation (D-A-CH). Higher hours of operation are to be sized for using the OCHSNER guidelines. This applies especially for the selected heat pump and, for ground heat, for the sizing of the heat source and/or expansion area. 22 22 Wärmepumpen Heat pumps HIGH-TECH HEAT PUMPS Heating and cooling with energy from the environment Sizing the plant by standard operating points It is absolutely necessary to maintain the nominal flow rates in order to achieve a safe and effective operation. Therefore, from 2012 onwards, the required flow rate meters VMT suitable for the OTE 2 Interior Climate Manager are part of the heat pump supply. The OTE 2 Interior Climate Manager, noise-reducing underlay, flexible connecting hoses with bends and the high-efficiency energy-saving circulation pump (pump only in the Golf Plus series) are furthermore part of the supply. Basic cooling capacity = heating capacity - power consumption at the standard point When sizing the ground heat flat-plate collectors or earth probe systems, especially in the low-capacity range, we recommend sizing the heat source on the basis of the heating capacity at the standard point. Pipework sizing is to be carried out according to the residual pressure head, taking the pipework friction losses and individual resistances into account. Rating information Rating information according to EN with 5K and EN 255 with 10K temperature difference without circulation pumps. All performance data with 10% tolerance, for cooling performance of GMLW dependent on operational conditions / system design, with a tolerance of up to 25 %. The performance data refers to the heat pump data measured under standard conditions (heating capacity, COP), taking the specified tolerances into consideration. The energy efficiency of the system and thus the running costs are the responsibility of the system installer. The heat pump heating systems are to be installed according to OCHSNER guidelines. The lined conduit is to be laid as a smooth pipe Ø min. 150 mm and with a large bend radius (more than 1m). 90 bends are not permitted. Noise emission The sound power level emitted from the appliance is constant. The sound pressure level measured at a specified distance indicated the emmission. This is dependent on the conditions on site. Basic cooling capacity = heating capacity - power consumption at the standard point Depth of laying ca. 1,2 1,5 m (in extremely high areas, deeper) ca. 30 cm below the frost limit Laying area Laying takes place as a rule on horizontal, even subsoil or with at maximum one side slope. For side slopes, always lay the ground collector pipework at right angles to the slope! Side slopes: The difference in height between the highest and lowest collector points should not be more than 3m. Warning bands Warning bands are to be laid ca. 50cm above the collector pipework. Installation Care must be taken to ensure that the pipework is not buckled or pinched. Before covering with earth, the pipework is to be sufficiently protected with a bed of sand! The earth covering work is to be carried out with extra care. Care must be taken to ensure that covering is always to the full height and that the earth is first deposited onto a ramp (do not damage the collector pipework). Refrigerant/refrigerant oil By using chlorine-free safety refrigerants, a biologically degradable synthetic oil (e.g. Ester oil) can also be used. Thus, both a theoretical and a possible environmental pollution can be practically ruled out. Pipe lengths The evaporator circuits with a normal length of 75m must be fully utilised for the heat expansion and may only be shortened by the OCHSNER customer service or an authorised OCHSNER customer service partner. The evaporator circuits are laid in air-tight fashion in order to prevent moisture penetration. The ends of the circuits should project ca. 70cm into the cellar room or ca. 1.2m into the collection shaft respectively. Turn the ends upwards and label the start and finish. Pipe ends must be kept dry. Connection takes place during commissioning. Safety equipment Systems with direct expansion are equipped with magnetic valves for safety: In the case of a loss of pressure in the collector area, the safety low-pressure Pressostat triggers a closure of the collector circuits. Due to the closed magnetic valves, no further refrigerant can reach the ground collector from the heat pump. Secure laying by means of: O-Tube-Pro ground collector with seal-indicator, factory-pressurised with forming gas for simple seal monitoring during laying up to control before commissioning. Example of a laying plan, flat-plate collector Collection shaft for direct expansion system with Venturi-distributor sited as close as possible to the heat pump and at the lowest point. Collector field may not be built on and is to be laid with a minimum clearance of 1.5m to buildings and property borders. The minimum clearance of the collector pipes to each other is 50cm. A laying plan for the individual collector circuits on the basis of the actual laying, as well as the labelling of the individual pipe ends is required before commissioning.

Distinguishing features are a lower viscosity and better heat exchange compared to propylene glycol and thus a lower circulation pump power consumption. O-Cool-Pro, on the basis of propylene glycol has environmentally protective corrosion inhibitors as additives and is conform to foodstuffs certification LD 0. Energy cages or energy piles are to be sized at set according to standards such as VDI 4640 and ÖWAV guideline 207 respectively. Ground heat systems down to a laying depth of 10 m fall into the category of near-surface ground heat and thus require in principle the same expansion area as open ground area as is the case with flat or Künette (deep-trench) laying. Thus, when using energy cages, it must be assumed that, in practice, no saving of space will be achieved for a brine source system that is sustainable over the years! 58 58 Inbetriebnahme Commissioning REQUIREMENTS FOR COMMISSIONING (To be ensured by the system installer) Planning and installation to OCHSNER guidelines and/or OCHSNER hydraulic schematics and/or special hydraulics with system data sheet fully and completely filled out and confirmed by OCHSNER. 1 Hydraulic system for heat source and heat use systems, installed to standards, flushed, air-bled and filled with prepared water. Hydraulic system regulated by heating installer. Installation of the flow rate meters supplied on site to OCHSNER guidelines by heating installer» Safety equipment in place and sized according to system requirements and checked (MEV, SV and flow meters). When sizing and adjusting the pressure maintenance equipment, the special requirements for cooling and/or de-frosting operation are to be taken into consideration.» All stop valves are to be opened and/or regulated and monitored» Water quality is to conform to the OCHSNER guidelines (selection of PHE - OCHSNER assumes no warranty for damage caused by water quality, even when commissioning)» Water quality in system to be ensured as conforming to VDI 2035 (remains the responsibility of the user and/or system installer), when using heat source water, the OCHSNER guidelines for this are also to be adhered to. Flooring screed drying by means of the heat pump is not permitted with ground-connected systems (heat pump models GMSW, GMDW). Above average amounts of energy can be extracted from the ground during screed drying, which could lead to adverse effects and even sustained damage to the whole heat pump system. Flooring screed heating in these cases is possible by means of the E-heating rod in the heat pump separating tank or a mobile drying station. The installation and regulation adjustment are the responsibility of the system installer, applying the relevant standards and in coordination with the flooring constructor. 62 62 OCHSNER Important information GUARANTEE All OCHSNER heat pumps carry a two-year guarantee if the installation and operation instructions are adhered to and the system data-sheet is correctly filled out. The system sizing and design is to be carried out according to the current OCHSNER guidelines. When using water as the heat source, the quality and sufficient volume of water is to be ensured. When direct heating, brine flat-laying and brine trench (Künette) collectors, the responsibility for the sizing of the expansion area under consideration of the local conditions lies with the system installer. No guarantee will be given for heat pump malfunctions caused by the heat source installation, the heating system (heat use installation), or an improper adjustment of the regulation and control elements. The installation is to be documented using the OCHSNER system data sheet and is to be commissioned by the factory customer service or by a contracted customer service company, otherwise no guarantee or warranty claims will be recognised. Parts subject to wear and tear such as sacrificial anodes, filters, signal lamps, etc. are excluded from guarantee and warranty claims. The system installer is obligated to check the data used to size the system for accuracy, completeness and accordance with the effective conditions on site. Transport costs Deliveries are effected ex works (EXW); Free-to-door charges on request. Incoterms The Incoterm with which OCHSNER Wärmepumpen GmbH ships its goods, is EXW. This means ex works. This Incoterm also means that the transport must be organised by you. Similarly, this means that the liability risk passes to you at the point of loading. If special system solutions call for special diagrams that are not in the existing OCHSNER schemata (see manual or Partnernet) we can offer you planning support. This support requires a specific task specification from the installer or planner. Part of this specification is to be a sketch of the system from the which the most important system components as well as the description of the function can be seen. OCHSNER will examine the feasibility of these requirements, and, if necessary, variants will be discussed. The scope of performance for planning support will be determined on this basis. After receiving a written order, we shall prepare a fee-based schematic diagram. This diagram represents only planning support and is in no way a substitute for a detailed professional system planning.
