The small cabinet units are available with ratings from 3.75 kw, can be identified by ir internally mounted mor. The large cabinet units (shown below) are available from kw up kw. See section 3.1 for cabinet dimensions. APPLIATION Designed specifically for heating industrial spaces where potentially explosive substances are or may be present. Typical hazardous location environments include: Water Sewage Treatment Plants Oil Refineries ompressor Stations Pulp Paper Mills Paint Srage Booths ement Plants Mines ONSTRUTION AND INSTALLATION GLYOL FREE DESIGN I Thermal s NORSEMAN unit s use extra heavy wall finned tubular steel heating elements provide safe, efficient heat transfer environment. The does not contain glycol, decreasing maintenance costs. Flow adjustment in structures with high ceilings, or units may not have range of motion needed direct air flow floor. The glycolfree design of XGB allows unit be tilted a º angle below horizontal, with an additional º of airflow redirection provided by outlet louver. For lateral airflow, entire louver assembly can be rotated 90º. No conduit seal required a facry installed conduit seal provides necessary isolation between supply control housings. In Division 2, Zone 1 Zone 2 applications, a field installed conduit seal may not be required. Simplified wiring facilitate installation, NORSEMAN explosionproof unit s patented xmax housing with slide out terminal block trolley for connection of electrical supply. SA /US ertified for hazardous locations. Small cabinet units approved for lass I, Div 1 & 2, Group D; lass II, Div. 1 & 2, Groups E, F G. 8 IMPORTANT: THE PROPER MOTOR/FAN ROTATION, VIEWED FROM THE REAR OF THE HEATER IS OUNTER LOKWISE FOR THE SMALL ABINET UNITS AND LOKWISE FOR THE LARGE ABINET UNITS, AS INDIATED BY THE FAN ROTATION LABEL ON THE HEATER. INORRET ROTATION OF THE FAN WILL AUSE THE HEATER TO OVERHEAT AND YLE ON THE HIGH LIMITS. ONSULT FATORY IN ASE OF INORRET ROTATION. 7.0 MAINTENANE 7.1 The NORSEMAN explosionproof unit s are designed constructed operate in ugh industrial applications with a minimum of maintenance. However, some routine maintenance is recommended extend life of its components Always disconnect electrical supply before performing any maintenance. 7.2 Periodically inspect installation ensure that all connections, fittings, plugs, screws, covers, etc. are tight free of corrosion. 7.3 heck inside of cabinet around element fins for dust buildup debris, especially after seasonal shutdowns. lean with an air blast or vacuum. Ensure that nothing is restricting air flow in unit that blade is free rotate. 7.4 MOTOR The mor supplied with small cabinet units is approved for lass 1, Group D, lass II, Group E, F & G, T3B code. The mor supplied with large cabinet units is approved for lass I, Group & D, lass II, Group E, F & G, T3B code. All mors have internal rmal protection eliminate mor overheating. 7.5 FAN BLADE Visually inspect blade ensure it is free rotate accidental damage has not occurred. If bent or damaged, a facry balanced blade should be installed so that rated airflow is maintained. A damaged blade may not deliver required airflow over elements, resulting in cycling on high limit which can significantly reduce life of contacr high limit. 7.6 HEATER ABINET ycling of high limits should not be permitted. Should this occur, unit should be inspected determine cause of cycling condition should be corrected. 8.0 REPLAEMENT PARTS LIST The replacement parts list is included for reference only. Due delicate nature of explosionproof design, XGB unit s are not field serviceable. Should any problem arise, return unit facry for service by trained personnel.
