An southern alignment (optimal at 10 South-West) and a roof-pitch of 30 to 45 is desirable. In the event of considerable deviations the reduced yield can be compensated for by enlarging the collector surface. Shortwave solar rays strike the highly selective coating and are collected at 95% and converted into heat. Heat produces long-wave radiation. The crystalline surface of the coating prevents the heat from radiating. The sealed construction of the CPC-collector prevents the absorbers from contaminations and permanently protects the interior of the collector. 6 CPC-collector... the crucial differences: Why the structure of the collector should be important to you: Because environmental factors, such as wind and weather, UV radiation, snow loads and excessive variations in temperature affect the collector for decades. The collector tray (1) The 1.5 mm leak-proof welded aluminium tank without vent holes forms the foundation. Air and waterproof design without air holes and rivets protect the interior of your collector for decades. The absorber (2) High-selective coated copper absorber with ultrasonic welded heat transfer medium pipe. The floating absorber which is coated on both sides guarantees you the best energy yield. BENEFITS TECHNOLOGY The reflector (3) The cylindrical, high-gloss rolled, galvanically anodized pure aluminium reflector concentrates the penetrating solar radiation onto the vertically installed absorber ship. The reflectors are protected in the casing from environmental influences, which guarantees a long service life. No wear of the coating. Optimum light concentration. Based on the cylindrical design of the CPC reflector, the diffuse part of the light is also absorbed (Kdiff = 0,87). The solar safety glass (4) 4 mm low-iron, prism-structured solar safety glass. 7 The surface sealing joints (7) 1/2 external thread with flat-faced gasket. The surface seals contacting the interior and exterior side of the tray are screwed in plane-parallel with brass nuts and hermetically seal the tray. Allows simple connection of the collectors. 4 SCHEMATISCHE DARSTELLUNG The negative pressure relief valve (8) Negative pressure relief valve for 6 pressure compensation. The air expands at the first warm-up of the interior of the collector - and excess pressure develops. The valve opens and the air can escape. When the air cools, the valve closes and a vacuum develops in the interior of the collector. The reflectors support the glass (0,1 bar = kg/m 2 ). No corrosion of the interior of the collector due to aggressive outside air. No exchange between interior and exterior air - therefore no heat losses due to convection. No condensation, therefore no degradation of the high-selective absorber coating Ring-groove ventilation (9) The ring-groove ventilation is located on the collector s distribution pipe.
