5 Hints & Tips Bristan 5 Traditional vs Modern One of the main decisions you ll need to make is whether you want to achieve a traditional or modern look. We have ranges to suit both; the majority of the ranges in this brochure will help you to create the perfect, modern bathroom but if you are looking for something a bit more traditional, then the 1901 and Colonial ranges are just for you. See page 34 for our new Frenzy range, an ultra-modern choice. GOOD TO KNOW Our website has a handy filter for sink shapes so you can view just the taps to suit the shape of your sink TAP HOLES The number of tap holes that your sink and bath has will help you to narrow down your choices. All of our tap ranges have choices for one or two tap holes, including our new one hole bath fillers which offer something a little different to the standard two hole options. Sink shape The shape of your sink is an important factor to consider. Square sinks look best with taps that feature sharp, angular lines such as Cobalt, whereas rounder sinks will be complemented by taps with softer lines such as Clio or Frenzy. See page 30 for our new Clio range. The bathroom a place to relax and unwind PERFECT MATCH If you have a small sink in your cloakroom or en suite, you should go for a small basin mixer to match. Standard size basin mixers can look overpowering on small sinks and cause a bit of a splash too! Our Blitz, Cobalt, Orta and Smile ranges all feature small basin mixers. Water Labels Throughout the brochure you ll find the Water Label s Flow Rate Indicators to help you find out which products are registered and what the flow rates are. A green rating indicates higher water efficiency. A red rating indicates higher water usage, but gives you a greater flow from your taps and showers for a faster filling sink and more invigorating showering experience. 7 7 reduces the risk of scalding Stylish, metallic silver finish Family safe Thermostatic technology means that your chosen water temperature will stay the same for the duration of your shower, regardless of other things going on in your house such as someone flushing the loo or using a tap elsewhere. This is a benefit to us all but particularly for young children as it reduces the risk of scalding. We have ranges to suit both; the majority of the ranges in this brochure will help you to create the perfect, modern bathroom but if you are looking for something a bit more traditional, then the 1901 and Colonial ranges are just for you. All of our tap ranges have choices for one or two tap holes, including our new one hole bath fillers which offer something a little different to the standard two hole options. Sink shape The shape of your sink is an important factor to consider. Square sinks look best with taps that feature sharp, angular lines such as Cobalt, whereas rounder sinks will be complemented by taps with softer lines such as Clio or Frenzy.
