3 Vermop Safe cleaning Tasks and objectives Cleaning and disinfection of hygienically-sensitive areas Hygiene (Greek: health) is the theory of the prevention of disease and the maintenance, promotion and retention of good health. Rising infection rates in hospitals, retirement homes and nursing homes, as well as in outpatient departments, have led to increased focus on hygienic cleaning processes. The Robert Koch Institute, RKI for short (state health authority in Germany), for example, requires a cleaning process for hygienicallysensitive areas such as hospitals, retirement homes and nursing homes, out-patient departments and doctor s surgeries, which prevents the spread of microorganisms in cleaning and disinfection. VERMOP offers system solutions which have been built up in accordance with strict hygiene principles. Through the use of colour-coded cleaning systems from VERMOP, combined with the discarding of soiled cleaning textiles after each room, the risk of spreading germs can be effectively reduced. Prepared mops can be stored safely in the closed boxes. By selecting lids with or without a seal, air circulation can be prevented. Clear colour coding of the boxes is ensured by selecting the appropriately coloured handle. The 10l boxes are designed to avoid edges and crevices. The mop is automatically wrung out by the wringer without excess pressure on the lever. 8

9 Quality Floor cleaning Textiles Mop qualities Antibak With the VERMOP Antibak mop, a special antibacterial substance hampers bacterial growth on the surface of the mop. The Antibak mop is permanently equipped with this substance so that germ reproduction in the mop is effectively reduced. The use of the Antibak mop is particularly worthwhile in cases where the mop is stored in a spin-dried condition and for the pre-wash method. The Antibak effect hampers microbial contamination of the damp mop as well as preventing the occurrence of an unpleasant odour. Important notice: For disinfectant cleaning, the Antibak Mop does not replace the use of disinfectants. The antibacterial outfit is only used to hamper the growth of bacteria on the surface of the mop.
