Good, even lighting across your countertop makes cooking and other kitchen chores safer, easier and more fun. And spotlights, cabinet lighting and drawer lighting doesn t just help you to find what you re looking for, but adds a decorative element to your kitchen. At IKEA, we have three series of integrated lighting: UTRUSTA, OMLOPP and FÖRBÄTTRA. The UTRUSTA series has corner modules as well as electrical and USB outlets. The OMLOPP series has a slim design and is easy to install. If you like, you can combine the series to fit your needs. The FÖRBÄTTRA series is a modern and very thin LED lighting which covers the entire underside of the wall cabinet and therefore provides an even lighting spread over the entire countertop. Add the remote control to dim, and set the mood for every occasion. If you like, you can combine the series to fit your needs. This is a reference guide created to better assist customers when purchasing products. 3 HOW TO PLAN Planning or updating your kitchen? No kitchen is complete without good, functional lighting. That s why it s a good idea to include lighting when you re planning and buying your kitchen. It makes it easier to install and saves you lots of time and effort. But what if you just want to improve the lighting in your current kitchen? Don t worry, we have solutions for that, too. Remember that all kitchens are different plan after your own needs! Start by deciding where you want lighting in the kitchen. Then decide which lighting will suit you and your kitchen best. Start by choosing your preferred countertop lighting. Then add spotlights, cabinet lighting and drawer lighting. 4 HOW TO BUILD UTRUSTA countertop lighting UTRUSTA countertop lighting must always be installed by a licensed electrician following applicable and local codes in your city and province/territory. Start from the left with UTRUSTA 15" countertop lighting with power supply. Count how many units you need for your kitchen. Use max. 2 sockets with USB port. You can connect up to 9 countertop lights to one unit with power supply. Add the ANSLUTA remote control to be able to dim the light in 2 steps. Synchronize the remote with the transformer(s) and the entire combination will turn on and off at the same time. UTRUSTA countertop lighting should always be mounted close to the back of the wall cabinets. If you want, you can complete the system with other products, like spotlights, drawer lighting or cabinet lighting. To make a combination that fits your kitchen, you can add as many UTRUSTA worktop lighting units as needed (15, 18 or 24 ). If you have more than 10 units (including the light with power supply), you need to add one more UTRUSTA countertop lighting with power supply. 8 HOW TO BUILD OMLOPP countertop lighting OMLOPP countertop lighting is a plug-in LED series that is easy to install by yourself. OMLOPP is designed to be installed 26.5cm (10 7/16 ) from the wall to provide an even level of light to your work surface. Start by choosing the number of OMLOPP lighting strips that you need. Add the correct ANSLUTA transformers: 10W or 30W. Add the ANSLUTA power supply cord. Add the ANSLUTA remote control to be able to dim the light in 2 steps. Synchronize the remote with the transformer(s) and the entire combination will turn on and off at the same time. If you want, you can complete the system with other products, like spotlights, drawer lighting or cabinet lighting. Each OMLOPP countertop light includes cable management for neat installation. It features a slim design that matches your cabinet sizes. If you choose to turn your OMLOPP system on/off by having a licensed electrician connect it to a wall switch, dimming of the countertop lights is not possible. Since they cover the entire underside of the wall cabinets, you can select based on the dimensions of the cabinets. It couldn t be easier! Add the correct ANSLUTA transformer: 10W or 30W. Add an ANSLUTA power supply cord. Add the ANSLUTA remote control to dim lights in 2 steps. Synchronize the remote with the transformer(s) and the entire combination will turn on and off at the same time. 13 HOW TO BUILD Combining spotlights and cabinet lights with OMLOPP and FÖRBÄTTRA You need ANSLUTA electronic transformers and ANSLUTA power supply cord. Add ANSLUTA intermediate connection cord if you re using more than one transformer. Spotlights Cabinet lighting Connecting spotlights and cabinet lights to UTRUSTA UTRUSTA LED countertop lighting system has 4 connection sockets in each light for adding spotlight and/or cabinet lights, so you don t need a to buy a separate ANSLUTA transformer.
