6 5 Years Peace of Mind The following terms and conditions of contract shall apply: I. Duration and start of cover by the ( hereinafter referred to as " MSC " ) Miele China grants a 2-year warranty of the complete appliance from the date of purchase of the unit ( i.e. provide an extra 1 year warranty of the complete appliance in addition to 1 year warranty of the complete appliance provided by aws and regulations ). With the MSC, Miele China provides the services equal to the 2-year warranty of the complete appliance for an extra three ( 3 ) years immediately after the 2-year warranty period, except otherwise provided herein. The validity period is shown on the front of the MSC.. Repair of the appliance or the replacement of spare parts does not extend the 2-year warranty and the 3-year extended warranty service period, except as otherwise provided by laws and regulations. II. Conditions The appliance is located in the People's Republic of China in one of the cities Shanghai or Beijing.. The appliance has been purchased from an authorised specialist retailer or directly from Miele China.. The MSC has been purchased in the People's Republic of China in one of the cities Shanghai or Beijing.. The MSC is only valid for one specific Miele appliance as specified on the front of the MSC in each case and is nontransferable.. 2 The MSC must be registered and taken out within the appliance's 2-year warranty period.. The MSC is connected to one specific owner. Therefore every change in location of the appliance or the ownership itself has to been reported to Miele China. Otherwise the MSC becomes invalid.. The services provided within the framework of the MSC will only be provided in the People's Republic of China in either Shanghai or Beijing.. If requested, the purchase receipt and the MSC are to be shown to the service technician. III. Cover and range of the. Appliance defects will be remedied free-of-charge within a reasonable period after notification by the consumer either through repair or the replacement of the affected parts. All travel costs, call-out charges, labour and spares costs will be assumed by Miele China. Replaced parts or appliances will be recovered by Miele China.. Services within the framework of the MSC may only be carried out by service agents authorised by Miele China.

Within the 3-year extended warranty service period, if the appliance is beyond economic repair or a repair impossible, Miele China reserves the right to provide a new model of equal value or to reimburse the consumers to the appropriate current value of their appliance in lieu of repair. If the appliance is replaced, the remaining period of cover provided by the MSC is transferred to the new unit. If the current market value of the appliance is reimbursed by Miele, the MSC becomes invalid.. The MSC does not cover any further claims for damage against Miele China, except in cases resulting from gross or willful negligence on the part of the technical service agent commissioned by Miele China.. The provision of consumables and accessories is not covered by this agreement IV. Limitations of the The will not cover costs for repairs where a fault is due to the following:. Installation NOT done by service agents authorised by Miele China; improper installation, e.g. non-compliance with relevant safety regulations and written operating and installation instructions.. Improper use and operational demands, such as the use of unsuitable detergents or chemicals.. An appliance purchased outside the People s Republic of China may not be suitable for use or may be subject to restrictions on use on account of different technical specifications.. External factors such as damage caused through transportation, impact and jolting, inclement environmental conditions, natural phenomena or force majeure.. Repairs or modifications not performed by service agents trained and authorised by Miele China. Failure to use genuine Miele spare parts or accessories authorised by Miele China.. Glass breakage and defective bulbs.. 185V 240V Defects resulting from fluctuations in power supply conditions which exceed the tolerances less than 185V or more than 240V power supply.. Failure to perform cleaning and care work in compliance with the operating instructions. If no default can be found, when the service technician is at the consumer s property, the base service fee will be charged, even if the appliance is still in the warranty period.
