4 Low pressure foam cleaning The Foamatron low pressure foam generator is designed primarily for cleaning and sanitizing transport and food processing facilities. It can be used wherever foam cleaning is necessary e.g. in agricultural, horticultural or solar panel cleaning applications. The Foamatron is a low pressure cleaning system which is made for automatic dosing of water with a chemical and transforms the mixture automatically to a superb foam. The Foamatron doesn't need electricity, it requires only water, compressed air and chemical agent. The advantage of the foam is that the contact time of the chemical is up to 300% longer on the surface than a traditional chemical spray. The longer the chemical can stay on the surface, the better the result of the cleaning or the sanitizing effect of the chemical agent. With the Foamatron, all parameters such as energy, time, chemistry and temperature are in balance. When this occurs you achieve maximum results with minimal consumption of water and energy. This means not only a ± 50% reduction of water consumption but also a ± 10% lower temperature used in production. Thanks to a correct use of pressure and flow in the system, these savings are obtained without compromising on performance or quality. The Foamatron can be equipped with the complete D3 Dosatron series. Depending on the dosing ratio and the chemical resistance of the chemical, you can choose the correct size of the injector. The Foamatron is built in a stainless steel closable cabinet with sloped top cover. 6 Spray cleaning Basic functions: Dilution of 2 chemicals supplied as a spray and a clean water rinse function. This budget-friendly double chemical dilution unit delivers high performances in smaller food applications e.g. catering services, restaurants, kitchens, etc., but is used also in carwash and agricultural applications e.g. milking rooms. With this single lever system it's easy to switch to 3 different functions. If the user switches from chemical 1 to chemical 2, the unit passes automatically the clear water rinse position so mixing the chemicals is impossible. 17 Low pressure boosters Low and medium pressure main stations: Rhinojet decentral boosters are placed in food production rooms. These boosters are pump units which can increase the water pressure. They function as water booster only and are not equipped with injector systems. The boosters are equipped with specially designed stainless steel AISI316, frequency controlled, Grundfos pumps with Blue Flux best efficiency label. The cabinets have a hygienic finish and a design intended to eliminate microbiological traps in order to provide the ultimate enclosure for environments where the hygienic requirements are strict. A sloped top cover offers additional protection and leads to self-draining of liquids. All Rhinojet boosters are equipped with Grundfos CRNE non self-priming, vertical multistage centrifugal pumps. The pump is fitted with an IEC-flanged three-phase MGE motor with frequency converter and PI-controller integrated in the motor terminal box. No additional motor protection is required as both motor and electronics are protected by integrated overload and temperature protection. External sensors can be connected if controlled pump operation based on for example flow, differential pressure or temperature are required. 18 Water driven chemical injectors Dosatron is a solution for liquid to liquid precision dosing and mixing issues: The DOSATRON water powered dosing pump is a simple and ingenious system that has demonstrated its value since many decades in about a hundred countries. Installed directly in the water supply line, the Dosatron operates without electricity ; it uses the flow of water as the power source. The water activates the Dosatron, which takes up the required percentage of concentrate and injects it into the water. Inside the Dosatron, the concentrate is mixed with the water, and the water pressure forces the solution downstream. Once adjusted, the dispenser requires no action or external control. The dose of concentrate will be directly proportional to the volume of water entering the Dosatron, regardless of variations in flow and pressure which may occur in the main line. The high dosing precision eliminates all risks of overdosing, thus contributing to respecting the environment. Proportional injection externally adjustable The injection rate is set by lining up the eye with the desired ratio on the scale. The amount of injected concentrate is proportional to the amount of water coming into the Dosatron: i.e. adjustment at 1% = 1 :100 = 1 volume of concentrate volumes of water. Choosing the suitable nozzle is very important for the output and a smooth function of the high pressure cleaner: Nozzle too small = machine frequently switches into bypass or off. Nozzle too big = machine has a small output, lower pressure. How to choose the suitable nozzle? Attention: pressure and flow of the high pressure cleaner must be known e.g. 15 l/min (900 l/h) - working pressure of 150 bar. 1. In the top row (pressure in bar) go to column "150". 2.
