Yes, our sales representatives have been through a thorough training program to ensure our customers get the right design for their property. We provide a hand-drawn design for all of our potential customers so they can visualize their system before they invest a penny. Customers should request this from each contractor. How do I prevent my system from watering in the rain? We can install a rain sensor to your lawn sprinkler system. This device will deactivate your Rain Sensor sprinkler system after a half inch of rainfall. What is a Sprinkler System? An underground lawn sprinkler system is an automated watering system installed on your property. It eliminates the hassles of dragging a hose around for hours a day. Its main components are a control box, electronic valves, rotor heads, spray heads and drip lines. A control box lets you control how many minutes you choose to water a specific area and how frequently. The valves are installed outside your home and communicate with your control box to turn the water on and off for each section of your yard. A rotor head pops up four inches and emits water up to 30 feet (mostly used for turf). A spray head pops up four to 12 inches and shoots water up to 18 feet (mostly used for landscaping and small strips of turf). A drip line is buried under the mulch and slowly applies water to the root system of plants and flowers. Do you offer a warranty? Here are a few things that can affect your pricing: shape of your property (squares and rectangles are cheaper than pipe stems and trapezoids), amount of landscaping, terrain (rocky soil or areas with a large number of tree roots), and hardscaping (driveways, patios, walkways). Do you use Poly pipe or PVC pipe? After thorough analysis, we have chosen to use Poly pipe for two important reasons: 1) It comes in rolls of 300 feet which eliminate unnecessary connections; and 2) Poly is a more flexible material which is more durable in harsh winter conditions. 4 Sprinkler Service and Maintenance Maintenance is important to ensure the system continually runs smooth. The most important service is the Fall Turn Off and the Spring Turn On. In the fall, we are available to blow all the water out of the system to eliminate the risk of freezing pipes over the winter months. We also remove any pieces that have the potential to freeze and crack. In the spring, we turn the system back on, evaluate each zone, adjust heads and reset the control box.
