1 Item Description Extensive 2.5" Media Depth 4.0" Media Depth Semi-Intensive Intensive 6.0" Media Depth 8.0" Media Depth Product Information Description: SkyScape Pregrown Modular System is an innovative performance-based design solution that supports your vision for the space while functioning as a great stormwater management tool for your project. The unique design of the modular system allows for the complete separation of the growing media profile and the 1.75" deep unitized moisture retention reservoirs. This separation, coupled with the unrestricted air flow beneath the units, promotes a healthy vegetative system while enhancing the overall stormwater management of the green roof. The sidewalls of the module are perforated on all four sides for the full length of the growing matrix to promote interconnectivity (moisture and nutrient sharing) between units to further encourage a healthy green roof. The modules also inter-lock on all four sides below the media grade, creating an aesthetically pleasing complete green roof assembly that effectively resists wind uplift. Lastly, all modules are formed from 100% recycled HDPE. 1.75" moisture retention reservoirs for enhanced storm water management capabilities and to create a healthy plant environment. The pre-installed Filter Fabric keeps the reservoirs separate from the plant roots and growing media. Floor of module raised 1.75" to allow for free movement of air under the system " unitized drainage holes allow ample drainage to promote healthy rooting. Perforated sidewalls allow for plant roots, moisture, and growing media to be shared between modules, while keeping units interlocked and squared. Modules interlock, below-grade, on all four sides, to prevent separation and resistance against wind uplift. Integrated pop-up sprinklers may be included upon request; sprinkler heads are attached to the module floor prior to planting, and system arrives on-site ready for attachment to an irrigation system. Method of Application: 1. Prior to commencement of work, a structural engineer should certify the load requirements of the intended installation site, considering the weight of the entire roofing assembly when the SkyScape Pregrown Modular System is fully wet (saturation weight, see next page for structural load information). 2. Protect the roofing membrane from traffic by the use of plywood or other acceptable means. 3. Modules should be installed on the day of delivery. All uninstalled modules must be unstacked and stored in a shaded, cool location; water uninstalled modules lightly for overnight storage. 4. Layout modules according to design. 5. If a slip sheet or SkyScape Root Barrier is used, ensure that it is properly installed prior to commencing with module installation. Maintenance: All Vegetative Roofs are living systems, and require maintenance. Species diversity will also dictate the level of maintenance needed. Maintenance is required and must be recorded for all systems covered by the Red Shield 2-Year Plant Growth warranty coverage option. 2 Storage: Install all modules on the day of delivery. Do not leave stacked modules in direct sunlight for longer than a single work day. Any uninstalled modules must be stored in a cool, shaded location, and lightly watered. Deliver and store products in original packaging with manufacturer s labels and materials list intact and signed off. Clean-Up: Gather and dispose all debris upon completion of work. Clean all surfaces and inspect final assembly for approval. Precautions: Handle plants and install modules carefully. Plants or modules damaged during installation may not be covered by the Firestone warranty.
