2 ABOUT THE COMPANY In 1990 in OAO NPP VNIIGIS a special-purpose apparatus-and-method complex (AMK GORIZONT) was first developed and tested in horizontal wells on the basis of drill pipe-run self-contained downhole equipment. Today, the company involves about 230 employees. Within NPF AMK GORIZONT there are electronics, design-engineering, methods and software support divisions, as well as a field-geophysical expedition, consisting of 15 geophysical crews, control and measuring instruments. The company has its own machine shop, metrology center, garage, production areas.

3 LOGGING OPERATIONS GEOGRAPHY Over the last years, several thousands of geophysical surveys were conducted in horizontal wells and side tracks in different regions of Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine. When logging in horizontal wells, we cooperate with more than 40 geophysical companies, realizing data interpretation together and making a conclusion about surveyed wells.

4 SERVICES Scientific potential and production facilities of NPF AMK GORIZONT allow to operate in the market of geophysical services, applying the apparatus-and-method complexes AMK GORIZONT in the following areas: development, production, supply, service maintenance, geophysical surveys of horizontal wells and side tracks by production crews.

5 GEOPHYSICAL SURVEYS TECHNOLOGY The technology of surveying horizontal wells and sidetracks with application of AMK GORIZONT comprises the following basic operations: wellsite preparation and testing of equipment; turn-on delay setting of measuring circuit of downhole tool delay or holding time; conveying the tool to the well head and mounting a container with ionizing radiation source into a special sub; running the downhole tool on drill pipes up to the logging section; switching on the downhole tool power and recording geophysical parameters into the tool's memory; hoisting the tool to the surface, its disassembling and data reading from the self-contained memory unit into computer (an information file); raw data processing and interpretation.

10 EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING - ELECTRONICS DEPARTMENT The electronics department develops electronic components for GORIZONT units, assembles electronic modules of the system and its surface equipment, carries on preventive and routine repairs of the system modules, supplies geophysical crews with the required amount of system modules, as well as with electronic surface equipment

11 EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING - MECHANICAL DIVISION The major function of mechanical division is manufacturing and repair of component parts for geophysical equipment on metal-cutting machines. The mechanical division has an equipment fleet, consisting of metal-cutting machines, such as turning and milling machines.

12 CONTROL AND INTERPRETATION CREW For effective control, raw data processing, making a conclusion of well log and for the analysis of geophysical data, in 2011 a control and interpretation crew (KIP) was formed within the company. KIP faces the following challenges: taking well logging data from production crews; evaluating the quality of obtained well log data; log depth tie and correction; immediate interpretation of survey results, final data preparation and releasing; issuance of a preliminary and final findings to the customer data analysis and archiving. the processing and interpretation of geophysical data is made on the basis of state-of-the-art hardware and software packages and technologies GORIZONT, PRIME, GEPARD.

13 METROLOGICAL SERVICE Metrological service of the company comprises a metrology department, calibration and measurement laboratories, a maintenance team for measuring instruments. The metrology department completes the tasks of providing uniformity of measurements, as well as metrological support for surveys, developments, testing and production run, or for other fields of activity of the company. Metrological service with metrology center realizes: a control of metrological parameters consistency of applied self-contained units and its components; initial data preparation to develop new algorithms of processing the obtained information; confounding factors corrections (cavernosity, salinity, and mud density etc.) The metrology center has: certified models of porosity and density; calibration outfits for gamma-ray log modules; calibration outfits for acoustic probes; calibration outfits for pressure and temperature sensors; inclinometer calibration set.

14 MOBILE GEOPHYSICAL STATIONS A logging truck KamAZ is used for geophysical surveys, conveying people and equipment, rest and accommodation of maintenance crew

15 MOBILE GEOPHYSICAL STATIONS The truck lab is divided into two sections: service and household. The service section has the operator's desk, transportation carriers for electronic modules of downhole equipment, power equipment, intercommunication system, system of heating and ventilation, air-conditioning unit. For the maintenance crew to rest, there is a compartment with four comfortable sofas, mounted as double-deck. The household section is equipped with a kitchen, having a table, fridge and bedside table.
