1 Introduction 36T 36T Auto Reset Bimetal Control: The 36T auto reset control from ThermODisc offers proven reliability in a compact, versatile, costeffective design. The snap action of the bimetal disc provides highspeed contact separation resulting in excellent life cycle characteristics at electrical loads up to 15 amps at 120VAC and 10 amps at 250VAC (100,000 cycles) & 16 amps at 250VAC (30,000 cycles). 2 MICROTEMP Mounting Bracket Thermal & Terminals Fuses: Electrical Rating Summary: 36T Mounting Bracket Type & Dimensions: The standard 36T is offered with a stainless steel surface mount bracket. This mounting configuration allows the disc sensing element to be firmly against the mounting surface so it senses the actual mounting surface temperature. (Figure A) (Figure A) 36T Mounting Bracket Orientation to Terminals: The mounting bracket is crimped to the switch body so that it is fixed in a position 90 +/5 from the electrical terminals (Figure B) (Figure B) 36T Terminals: Standard 36T series switches are supplied with x 0.25 brass (unplated) quick connect terminals bent upward 90 (Figure C) (Figure C)

3 Switch Action & Circuit Configurations The 36T Series of Bimetal Disc Controls & Limits have a single pole, single throw (SPST) switch action. The standard 36T Series is offered in two different, auto reset circuit configurations: Contact Form A: N/O Close on Temp Rise Switch contacts are normally open (circuit is open or off) Switch contacts close (circuit is closed or on) on temperature rise 36T22 or SAS xxx A Switch Contacts will automatically reopen (turning off the circuit) at a fixed temperature Contact Form B: N/C Open on Temp Rise Switch contacts are normally closed (circuit is closed or on) Switch contacts open (circuit is open or off) on temperature rise 36T21 or SAS xxx B Switch Contacts will automatically reclose (turning on the circuit) at a fixed temperature
