3 CERTIFICATE No CF 5263 FOCUS RANGE DOOR CLOSERS - KD6800, KD913, KD913V & KD This approval relates to the use of KD6800, KD913, KD913V and KD915 closers which are overhead mounted door closing devices. 2. This certification is designed to demonstrate compliance of the product or system specifically with Approved Document B (England and Wales), Section D of the Technical Standards (Scotland), Technical Booklet E (N. Ireland). If compliance is required to other regulatory or guidance documents there may be additional considerations or conflict to 3. This approval relates to their use with the following door assemblies: - Latched and unlatched, intumescent sealed door assemblies consisting of timber faced and edged leaves with timber, cellulosic or mineral cores in timber frames having a fire resistance up to 120 minutes (CERTIFIRE Code - ITT) as indicated in approval matrix detailed later in this certificate. Latched and unlatched, door assemblies consisting of metal faced and edged leaves in metal frames, with or without intumescent sealing, and having a fire resistance up to 240* minutes (Codes MM & IMM) as indicated in the individual 4. The closers are approved on the basis of: i) Initial type testing to EN1154 and BS EN : 2000 ii) An appraisal against TS34 iii) Certification of quality management system to ISO 9001: iv) Inspection and surveillance of factory production control v) On-going audit testing in accordance with EN 1154 requirements 5. This approval is applicable only to the specified closers used in the specific arm configuratio door assemblies of proven fire resistance (as defined in BS EN or BS 476: Part 22: 1987) and having power ratings appropriate to the leaf sizes subject to a minimum size 3 (as specified in BS EN 1154). 6. This approval does not cover models with a mechanical hold open facility. 7. The closers may only be fitted to previously tested door assemblies when fitted in the manner described in this certificate and when particular aspects of the door assembly are maintained. shown above do not apply to all models. The doorset, including door frame and associated building hardware, should be either CERTIFIRE approved for the relevant application and classification or the doorset, including door frame and associated building hardware, should have achieved at least the required period of fire resistance when tested, or subsequently assessed to EN In either case regard should be paid to the maximum door mass permitted for use with the closer (see classifications). 10. The doorset shall be installed in accordance with BS 8214: 2008 where applicable. 11. The approval relates to on-going production. Product and/or its immediate packaging is he product name or number, the CERTIFIRE name or name and mark, together with the CERTIFIRE certificate number and application where appropriate. 12.
