All solutions offer a wide range of module types to interface with all of the different variations of field devices on the market. In order to simplify customer implementation and operation of safe process plants in accordance with IEC 61511, Emerson and Pepperl+Fuchs are able to offer solutions that are suitable for use in SIL2 and SIL3 safety applications in compliance with the stringent international standard IEC for functional safety. PROFIBUS DP solution features HART passthrough to enable easy integration with AMS Suite. SIL2 is available for selected digital and analog output modules using a bus independent hardware shutdown. The system is also available with an Ethernet option.
