A drft mendment, which covers common modifictions to IEC (116/335/FDIS), ws prepred y CLC/TC 116 "Sfety of motor-operted electric tools" nd pproved y CENELEC. The following dtes re fixed: ltest dte y which this document hs to e implemented t ntionl level y puliction of n identicl ntionl stndrd or y endorsement ltest dte y which the ntionl stndrds conflicting with this document hve to e withdrwn (dop) (dow) EN :2017 supersedes EN :2010. This Europen Stndrd is divided into four prts: Prt 1: Prt 2, 3 or 4: Generl requirements which re common to most hnd-held electric motor operted tools (for the purpose of this stndrd referred to simply s tools) which could come within the scope of this stndrd; Requirements for prticulr types of tools which either supplement or modify the requirements given in Prt 1 to ccount for the prticulr hzrds nd chrcteristics of these specific tools. This Prt 2-17 is to e used in conjunction with EN :2015. This Prt 2-17 supplements or modifies the corresponding cluses in EN :2015, so s to convert it into the Europen Stndrd: Prticulr requirements for hnd-held routers. Where prticulr sucluse of Prt 1 is not mentioned in this Prt 2-17, tht sucluse pplies s fr s relevnt. When this stndrd sttes "ddition", "modifiction" or "replcement", the relevnt text in Prt 1 is to e dpted ccordingly.
