3 PlumeSIM has been designed to augment the use of our existing range of market leading CBRN simulation systems by enabling classroom and field exercise widearea training through remote instructor management of multiple simulator instruments under a fully configurable virtual plume, in real time, over user selected mapping. Planning Mode - the virtual plume Innovative system design permits the use of common file format map images and even home made sketches of the proposed training area. Easy to use menus enable the instructor to quickly set and adjust the source type(s), quantity, and the location and nature of the release source, as well as the desired environmental conditions. Areas of increased deposition and hot spots may be defined. Exercise parameters can be saved for repeating scenarios with absolute fidelity. Classroom mode Using simple gamepad controllers trainees are able to move themselves as icons around an on-screen display of the training area. The virtual plume scenario is activated, and subsequent contact with a simulated agent will result in the appropriate activation of their simulation instruments which are connected to the control base by a short range radio link. All student movement and simulator errors are recorded during the session and can then be played back for analysis prior to departing for field exercise. PlumeSIM from Argon Electronics Field exercise mode With the students deployed to the desired external training area the instructor can monitor their GPS marked location on the control base map via a long range radio link in real time. Once again the virtual plume scenario is activated and, providing the student is fielding the correct type of instrument for the nature of the simulated threat, has prepared the instrument properly, and the levels or concentration of simulated agent are sufficient to be recognised by the particular device, then the display of that simulation instrument will indicate the appropriate response to any contact with a simulated source. Where conditions inhibit the ability to obtain or maintain continuous long range radio communication, the selected scenario can be pre-loaded on the simulation instruments for timed activation. PlumeSIM records student and specially equipped vehicle positions and time against the simulated dose received, so once out of the virtual plume, automatically activated personal and vehicle simulation sources permit decontamination training to be carried out. A full record of a student s equipment use activity is also captured for correcting any equipment use errors during after action review at the end of the exercise. 6 On-Demand Decontaminant Generation Technology from Intelagard Generate decontamination solutions formulated for specific environmental, contaminant and substrate conditions that can be easily field adjusted to fit the existing situation. Customized solution generation can now be accomplished by employing a series of stable, economical, dry compounds in conjunction with advanced Intelagard deployment equipment based on and integrated into existing, fielded deployment systems. For example, currently fielded Falcon Fixed Site Decontamination Systems (FSDS), High Mobility Decontamination Systems (HMDS) and other large scale deployment technologies can be effectively upgraded to include On-Demand solution generation, providing the ability to generate CBRN decontamination solutions at low cost with minimal logistical concerns. Using materials that are stable and dry until needed significantly minimizes storage requirements and nearly eliminates shipping and shelf life issues. 7 General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products (GDATP) offers an advanced line of point and standoff chemical and biological agent detectors. Our chemical detection products include the Standoff Chemical Agent Detector and the hand-held JUNO system. The Standoff Chemical Agent Detector provides ground platforms of the 21st century with state-of-theart remote chemical agent detection. Modern military masks are capable of a high degree of protection, but ONLY if they are fitted correctly and donned properly. The M41 provides a numerical measurement of the Fit Factor of the mask while it is being worn by a soldier.
