With fire impregnated products from Keflico, you buy time to save lives and valuables, should an accident occur. At the same time, the majority of our products for fire hindrance are treated with a GREEN flame retardant, that is to say that the actual impregnation liquid consists of only organic materials. Test, sharing knowledge and advice via DTI The Danish Technological Institute is an independent and nonprofit institution that develops, uses and distributes research and technology-based knowledge to Danish businesses. As such, the institute participates in societal development projects in close cooperation with leading research and educational institutions both in Denmark and abroad. The Technological Institute conducts advisory and standardization activities which contribute to a dynamic and harmonious development in society. Finally, the Institute aids in strengthening the competences of the Danish workforce in cooperation with educational institutions and through their own courses, certification and lectures. Fire Tests, approvals and certifications SP, Swedish National Testing and Research Institute AB ( SP ) is an accredited research institute operating as a publicly owned limited liability company. SP is 100% owned by the Swedish state through Rise Holding AB. SP has the status of public authority, having jurisdiction to issue declarations regarding technological matters. Such declarations are binding both for EU citizens and EU member states in accordance with general EU law. This means that the statements issued by SP are valid in other EU member states and other EU member states are not entitled to overrule the validity of statements made by the SP, including imposing additional requirements arising from any national legislation. SP is an authority which is accredited to conduct tests and issue reports and classifications within, amongst others, the classification of flammability of materials, products and structures. This is in accordance with the EUROCLASS System, which forms the basis of the CE marking system, and which assigns standardized test methods etc. This is done in accordance with the Construction Products Directive (89/106 / EEC), which is a harmonization directive i.e. a directive which aims to standardize legislation across all EU member states. The classification which SP makes on the basis of a test performed in accordance with the EUROCLASS System, is therefore valid in all EU member states. Prior to the introduction of the EURO CLASS System, the individual EU member states have naturally had their own national standards and classifications. As part of the implementation (application) of uniform rules, the authorities have issued a table (Annex B to SP Report 2008: 29), which makes a comparison of the former national classifications, with the new classifications under the EUROCLASS System. The table shows that a Euro Class B classification corresponds to a classification A under the old Danish national system. It also appears this is officially implemented (completed) in Denmark in 2004 by amending the relevant Danish building legislation. if the tested product has obtained a European class B-s1,d0. In comparison with the Danish building regulations the tested product has similar properties regarding (Flammability and heat emmitance) as required for a (Class A material). Ref.
