4 Immerse yourself in the experience... Moviestar 50+ (passive) offers a level of performance never before seen in this class. Supplied with four satellite speakers, a double centre channel and a choice of either a standard powered subwoofer, or with the active Moviestar system (shown right), with a subwoofer capable of amplifying and controlling the entire system (a DVD player with built-in decoder is required). The Moviestar 50+ system is a perfect upgrade to the speakers typically supplied with Home-Cinema-in-a-box type products. Tonally balanced, with a wide frequency response, pin-point accuracy and fast, dynamic sound, they can transform your whole Home Cinema experience. The powered subwoofer integrates superbly with the system, and has controls for volume, crossover point and phase to ensure it can be easily set up in any room without unwanted bass boom or destructive interference. With a good, separate AV amplifier, the effect is even more pronounced. Our drive units are all engineered from scratch for every model we make. In this case, high-power polypropylene drivers with oversize voice-coils, housed in a cast alloy chassis, for excellent power handling, are used in all the satellite speakers and in the centre channel. The subwoofer features a powerful 8 (200mm) long-throw driver with an internal 100w amplifier. Designed specifically for low frequency response, the amplifier module is powerful, compact and efficient with an automatic power-off function should no signal be received for fifteen minutes The Moviestar system features on-board amplification for all the loudspeakers (including the subwoofer). When used in conjunction with a DVD player which has a decoder built-in, simply connect the analogue DVD player outputs into the subwoofer for a complete high-performance Home-Cinema solution. The Moviestar 50+ (shown above) is designed to work with external AV Receivers/Amplifiers.
