The HD8.3 utilizes a 1" Teteron tri-laminate dome tweeter housed in a low-diffraction, precision tweeter adjustment mechanism. The tweeter is complemented by a powerful 8" TCC (talc, carbon, and ceramic-filled) polypropylene dual-drive woofer that features a hyperbolic dispersion stabilizer. Found in all HD loudspeakers, the woofer employs a vented pole piece and a high BL magnet structure. If your application demands uncompromising performance, the HD8.3 is poised to deliver. The HD8 utilizes a 1" Teteron tri-laminate dome tweeter housed in a low-diffraction adjustable tweeter housing. Low frequencies are handled by an 8" injection-molded TCC (talc, carbon, and ceramic-filled) polypropylene woofer with butyl rubber suspension. The HD6 features a 1" Teteron tweeter which is paired with 6-1/2" injection-molded TCC polypropylene woofer. The compact HD5 employs a 1" inch Teteron tweeter paired with 5-1/4" injection-molded TCC polypropylene woofer and provides big sound in tight locations. HD8.3 HD8 HD6 HD5 ERING TECHNOLOGIES AND ADVANCED MATERIALS The Teteron tweeter, utilized on all HD speakers, employs a tri-laminate design consisting of an inner textile layer which forms the dome, a high damping layer to eliminate unwanted resonances, and an outside layer of urethane to add stiffness and prevent break-up modes. The result is a transparently clear, sweet natural sounding tweeter which still maintains extended frequency response. HD loudspeakers employ an injectionmolded TCC (talc, carbon and ceramicfilled) polypropylene woofer which is both stiff and extremely light resulting in a driver that is very efficient with great transient response. HD CTR HD CTR BX PSW8 THE LATEST BLOCKBUSTER WITHOUT THE BIG BOXES A selectable low-pass filter enables you to roll off the high frequencies from the PSW8 at 12dB per octave at either 100Hz or 140Hz. Also featured on the PSW8 is a selectable high pass filter which selects whether or not to filter the low frequencies from the satellite speakers at a fixed frequency of 120Hz. Both the HD CTR and HD LRS feature baffle-mounted Acoustic Fine Tuning Controls. The HD CTR s controls enable optimization of the high frequencies and the dialog with 3dB of treble cut and 3dB of dialog enhancement. Installation Ease. For installers, the CM loudspeakers employ a bracketless flip-tab dog mounting system to make installation in existing ceilings quick and easy. You simply cut a hole in the mounting surface, remove the grille from the speaker, connect the wires and then place the speaker in the hole. Then tighten the four mounting dogs via the front panel screws and the speaker frame clamps to the drywall as you tighten the screws. Perfect for a wide range of installation applications, CM Multipurpose and Background speakers are at home in bedrooms, dens or living rooms, in hallways and bathrooms, and even as surround speakers in a home theater system. Well suited to small areas in commercial installations, they can also be installed in arrays to fill larger spaces. The CM800MP and CM650MP loudspeakers use Niles proprietary BumpBack woofer magnet which allows greater voice coil excursion for impressive low-distortion, low-frequency output. Installers can select the impedance, either 4 or on both speakers to meet amplifier load requirements. Both speakers feature high-efficiency talc-filled polypropylene woofers (8"and 6-1/2") and pivoting 3/4" polycarbonate dome tweeters.
