11 Heath Tile has been known for its beautiful glaze, handcrafted character, and high quality ever since Edith Heath became the first non-architect to win the prestigious AIA Industrial Arts Medal for the exterior tile on Pasadena s Norton Simon Museum. Heath Tile is a powerful design tool, providing the means to create distinctive spaces and places with character, beauty, soul, and integrity. Timeless yet always fresh: it s part of the reason Heath won the Cooper Hewitt s National Design Award in 2015.

12 People are at the heart of all we do. Our tile is made by hand, glazed by hand, and fired and finished in our tile factory in San Francisco s Mission District. We create glazes based on Edith Heath s proprietary formulas, and design new ones based not on what s trendy, but what s beautiful, functional, and quintessentially Heath. We offer two types of tile: MADE-TO-ORDER You order the shape and glaze; we make it for you. Our Made-to-Order collections are Classic Field, Dimensional, Tapestry, Dwell Patterns, Mural, Dual Glaze and Stan Bitters Tile. IN-STOCK Generally available for same day purchase and pick up in our showrooms. There s absolutely no difference in the quality of tile. We re able to offer more competitive prices by producing more of these focused offerings. Our In-Stock Palette is a versatile collection of eight options in one size.

But the real story with Heath s color palette is the inherent variation within many of these glazes: variation that extends the palette and potential of your project, giving you the tools to add texture, depth, and richness to enliven any space. Depending on context and choice of pattern, glaze, and grout, the look can range from quiet and meditative to dynamic and vibrant. Heath offers the versatility and sophistication to create almost any effect you re after. 15 MADE-TO-ORDER TAPESTRY Tapestry is a collection of eight pre-configured pattern combinations of shapes and glaze colors created by Heath s Design team. Inspired by textile design and weaving traditions, the collection highlights the patterns and possibilities of our Classic Field tile and is available in most Made-to-Order glazes. 16 MADE-TO-ORDER DWELL PATTERNS Our Dwell Patterns collection offers a range of stunning patterns based on three shapes: Wide Hex, Little Diamond, and Half Hex, and is available in most Made-to-Order glazes. Designed to show off the range and variation inherent in Heath Tile, this collection is one of our most popular and enduring. Originally developed in collaboration with Dwell Magazine. 17 MADE-TO-ORDER MURAL Mural is the latest in our series of pre-configured pattern combinations of matte and glossy tile. The first of our Mural patterns is Twill, which uses Dwell Patterns Little Diamond in six different glazes to create a dimensional, kinetic effect, even in its most subtle combinations. Each 4 x 1 foot module includes 356 tiles. While it was designed for large-scale installations, it s equally at home in more modest spaces. 19 MADE-TO-ORDER DUAL GLAZE Designed by the Heath Design team, our Dual Glaze collection combines glossy and matte colors overlaid on a single tile, creating the illusion of varying tile sizes within an installation. Offered in five sizes, each in eight glaze color combinations, it takes the design possibilities of variation and contrast to a new level. The one tile size, 2x6 is offered in 8 colors and finishes: matte, glossy, and unglazed.
