4 Soltec Sunbreakers Sun protection with added value Sunbreakers are an attractive system for ensuring high indoor living comfort. Sunbreakers are ellipsoidal or rectangular aluminium profiles, fixed or adjustably mounted onto an aluminium or steel construction directly in front of building façade. Fixed-blade sunbreakers are commonly used as aesthetic solutions for entire building envelopes and also for parts of buildings where there are no glass surfaces. Sunbreakers ensure excellent protection from overheating and support energy efficiency while also regulating daylight in the interior. They protect from glare and at the same time ensure a high level of transparency. 16 Soltec Sliding and Folding Panels Protection / Aesthetic appeal / Customization Materials Sliding and folding panels have an aluminium frame construction. The frame is 40 x 50 mm in dimensions, fitted with various inlays such as: Aluminium slats, 10 x 50 mm Alminium sheet metal, 2 mm Aluminium perforated sheet metal, 2 mm Aluminium expanded metal mesh, in any pattern chosen by the customer Soltis canvas, optionally printed with customer s design Wooden slats, the shape of slats by customer s choice Components Sliding panels components also include roller wheels, top and bottom aluminium guides and an opening lever. And additional component of sliding panels are stainless steel hinges. Manual or motor drive In the case of motor drive, an additional component is a toothed belt motor drive. Invisible part of the façade Guides can be mounted on consoles and fully integrated into the façade. Colours Aluminium panels can be powder coated in all RAL chart colours. You can choose between matte, glossy or structural finish. They offer a wide range of options, implementing various materials and colours. Folding panels can be used to either blur or enhance the visible separation between glass and façade. Panels ensure efficient protection from overheating, as they prevent solar heat from entering the building. Transparency of panels depends on the inlays used. Panels are wind resistant and ensure a high level of protection from burglary. For this reason they are commonly used on buildings where protection is of special importance. The construction of panels consists of various aluminium profiles and guides. These are inlaid with materials such as aluminium or wooden slats of different shapes and dimensions, aluminium sheet metal or perforated metal, sheet metal perforated in a shape or pattern chosen by the customer, Soltis canvas optionally printed with a customer s design, or various expanded meshes. Panels can be controlled manually by pushing them to the left or right and locking them in the final position. Alternativelly, panels can be moved left or right using a toothed belt motor. The motor is controlled by a switch, either individually or, if centralized, using a remote control connected with the central control system. At the same time it allows a greater thickness of panels, up to 64 mm. It has an tubular aluminium frame, 30 / 30 mm in dimensions, and horizontal 20 mm aluminium bars. Vertical wooden 30 x 64 mm profiles are fixed to the aluminium frame at an interval of 50 mm. Other materials may also be used, of up to 64 mm in thickness. Panels are fixed to special stainless steeel hinges, which are linked to axes or rolling wheels. Panels can be opened or closed manually or using a motor drive. The dimensions of the panel can be up to 600 x 3000 mm. Guides are made of galvanized steel. Rolling wheels and brackets are made of special aluminium alloy and steel. Z90 slats rotate around their axes using a crank or motor drive. The lifting and lowering mechanism enables stability in windy conditions. Side guide rails are made from extruded aluminium 18 x 22 mm or 18 x 24 mm in dimensions. Side guide rails are padded with rubber which allows for smooth and silent movement of slats. The Soltec Z90 venetian blinds have an exceptionally long life span, up to 15 to 20 years. The lifting and slat rotation mechanism is integrated into the 85 x 40 mm aluminium guide rails. Profiled slats are 97 mm wide and padded with rubber on one side, which ensures a better fit. The 0.7 mm slat thickness guarantees strength and stability in cases of stronger gusts of wind or even burglaries. The colour of slats comes in five standard RAL chart colours. Soltec RETRO Mirro Blinds use special "Daylight" retro-technology, which protects from the sun and utilizes daylight at the same time. By using Soltec RETRO Mirro Blinds we can control the direction of sunlight. The part of sunlight which overheats the interior is directed outside. As a result the interior is cooled naturally, saving us air-conditioning energy costs. At the same time daylight is directed inside towards the ceiling, which illuminates the room. Using this principle, the room conserves natural daylight which is of utmost importance for the quality of life, as well as saving us on artificial lighting costs. By controlling the angle of Soltec RETRO Mirror Blinds we control the direction of sunlight, consequently preventing overheating all the while optimally lighting the interior. The zipper principle enables even fastening along the entire height, perfectly sealing and stretching the canvas. Wind-resistance ZIP ROLLER is particularly suitable for class 5 windy areas. High resistance to wind is achieved with the use of welded zippers on canvas, which slide on specially designed guides. Drop profile The ZIP roller weighting profile is 32 x 36 mm in dimensions, additionally burdened with two steel profiles and padded with a brush in its lower section. The quality construction of the canopy allows a high degree of resistance to strong winds and a wide span between support columns. In the case of extremely strong winds (provided that the wind sensor is installed) the blades automatically open.
