With a ventilation opening at the top, it is possible to air out your garage without inviting in pests and leaves. In the event of a fire, Lindab garage doors give off 50% less harmful flue gas. Furthermore the door will not feed a potential fire, which means that any flames will spread more slowly. The door panel is protected against frost by a layer of extruding polystyrene, which reduces moisture absorption from 3 to 0.5%. This means you can keep heat in and the cold out throughout the door s full lifetime. All electrical controls feature power monitoring and built-in anti-theft protection. If the door detects an unintended opening, it will attempt to force the door closed. For additional security, you can add photocells to your system. When it s raining, cold or dark, it s never nice to have to go out and open a garage door to get your car inside. This is something you can avoid with an automatic door opener that is remote-controlled from the car. With a push of a button, the garage door opens and the light inside the garage turns on and from there all you have to do is drive in from the cold. The polystyrene core is water-repellent, which makes the doors frost-proof. The adhesive power between the core and coating panels is twice as strong as before, which increases the door s durability. High insulation The panels keep heat in and the cold out with an insulation level (U value) of 0.6 W/m² K.
